I find it hard to feel sorry for a multimillionaire who gets ****ed by a referee or judges but these are athletes fighting purely for the pride of their country. These are kids who train for years and travel the world in an attempt to qualify, all leading up to one big fight where they get robbed. It's ****ing wrong.

It's Olympic boxing, guaranteed bull**** throughout. Joshua might not have a tougher fight now, though the Chinese fella looked brutal. I'm sorry for Savon, truly, his name is on a very long list.

Thats not true though is it? They do get paid and probably significantly more than your average domestic fighter

    Throw them in the fan...

Would'nt it of been funny if London had the biggest community of Cubans in the world outside of Cuba.

And riots would of broke out all around the city!

    "But nobody was hurt etc"....

    Just for the banter..

Would of been funny just seeing the chaos on the news.

  5. The 5 threads on this are clearly not enough.....

T's should actually be banned for spamming

Is that Avi got anything to do with Garth Marengi's Dark Place?

"I'm finding food a real bore at the moment."

What I do is sometimes get a tin of soup, heat it up, poach an egg in it, serve that with a pork pie sausage roll.

    "I'll get a Wimpy."

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

Joshua might have nicked the first by 1, but rounds 2 and 3 were clearly savon's by 2 points at least in each of those rounds. I had Savon winning by 3 or 4 points..

    Yep, had Savon winning too.

Glad for Joshua though as it was a close fight. Whilst this clearly doesnt justify what happened last night, we've deserved some luck with some of the decisions Team GB has had in the past in the Am's.

I dont see him having a harder fight up until the Chinese bloke though to be fair, that was a hell of a first round opponent.

Dont hate on Joshua, it wasnt his fault, he went out there to give it his best shot, fair play to the lad, i'll still be supporting him

I think Britain has fallen in love with him... I think hes predestined to get a medal at least! so he can be the next star in boxing. Unless he gets KO'd i cant see how more decisive u can beat him for them not to give it

it was close which ever way you look at at imo, savons punches were landing clean but how much power were on them

if some of us think savon took it by a few punches then joshua winning by 1 is no robbery

i wouldnt describe it as a robbery but i did think joshua lost by a couple of points. the crowd may have had something to do with judges scoring which is in no way justifiable of the result
