Aside form decent stamina, Povetikin does not seem to have anything special at all. He's not very fast, he's not very strong and mostly, he's there to be hit. Haye has speed and big power, he'd probably stop Povetkin, and there's not much Povetkin can do about it.
Haye doesn't have big power. All the fighters that he "knocks out" end the fight on their feet: Fragomeni, Mormeck etc. If he had so much power small cruisers like Fragomeni and Mormeck who were past it at 37-38 would be knocked out cold. Even Barret got up from every knock down to continue until the British ref stopped him from getting up. Haye's stamina is **** as well: 11 thrown punches per round mostly body jabs. Weak chin as well. It's just a matter of time before he gets knocked out by somone.
Povetkin seemed to be the next reall big contender, now I have a hard time understanding how he could be such an amateur star. He doesn't fire his rapid combinations anymore and hasn't improved his defence. Haye is vulnerable, but I take him 60:40 over Povetkin.
Why does the fact that the Ref was British change anything? The guy went down like 5 times? Whats the point of it continuing? He was just getting beat up and he couldn't touch haye so yeah, whats the point?:? And to say that David Haye doesn't have big power is the most ******ed thing I have heard all day. What a joke. atsch
To be fair I don't even think he's caught anyone clean yet apart from enzo mac. I think he must have decent power at heavy to make Valuev chicken dance with a glancing blow.
How did Barrett get up 5 times from the monstrous punches from Haye? Haye was a big puncher at CW. He is a very good puncher at HW but nothing like Tyson, Tua, Lewis, Wlad for example who are big punchers at HW.
