Pretty much anybody? Wlad got more views once and Golovkin got more views once?

How many times were Wlad and Golovkin on HBO?

    Jesus.

    Thanks for proving my point.

I'm sure Wilder will do fine. The exposure he got on the national networks will only help.

I’m telling you anybody on public does better than wilder. Garcia vs thurman did like 5.1m.
Wilder is literally unknown, but if he beats Fury he will do better and fight with Joshua should be 50/50.

Once. And it was a unification fight. They weren't making a meaningless defense against Gerald Washington or Chris Arreola.

And they didn't draw more viewers consistently.

Look at all of Wilder's ratings since he won the title. Look at all those other boxers over the same period. He's been consistently way up in viewers.

    That's all I'm saying.

People say he doesn't draw. He consistently draws as much or MORE (usually more) than everyone else on the same networks.

And many of those guys who have been exposed on the national networks for the last couple years are going to be showcased on this PPV.

It's not just going to be Fury vs Wilder.

It's the PBC's first PPV. They didn't showcase all these guys and give them millions to NOT put them on PPV.

The Wilder-Fury card will do fine numbers. Biggest boxing PPV card of the year.

No man , golovkin with wade also peaked at 1.3m, I mean wilder is absolutely not a draw yet, but he will be if he keeps wining .

No you are simply dumb. Wilder is not a draw and his numbers suck . I already proved it to you. And ppv numbers against fury will be pathetic too.

Just some corrections...HBO and Showtime are premium cable channels. Garcia vs Thurman was on basic TV. CBS iirc.

The fact that there isn't even a debate as to where Wilder v Fury should be held, should be enough to inform everyone about Fury's popularity in the UK.

If I were to say again and again your mother is an actual dog would that mean there is a debate about whether she walks on all fours, is covered in hair and licks her own arsehole?

There was never any debate as to where Wilder-AJ SHOULD have been held. All the money is in Vegas. Just because Eddie Hearn kept making the ridiculous claim it does even comparable money in London, that doesn't mean there was ever a debate.

Fury is a big name in the UK. He's going to the US because he's not a complete ***** like AJ and that's where the most money is. Simple.

wilder-fury has zero chance of breaking 100,000 ppv buys. no one here in the States knows either guy.

no way it breaks 100,00 ppvs. Wilder was televised free on live network tv a year and a half ago. the fight came in behind the Nba game, the NHL game, and a stock car race.

This. The poster is completely delusional dreaming of 750k.

Here are some historical purses, most coming form the 90s and 2000s when boxing PPV was huge. To translate numbers to today's world you'd probably have to deduct some. Plus Wilder and Fury are completely unknown in the US:

Oct 4, 1997 Lennox Lewis vs. Andrew Golota -- 300k
Apr 29, 2000 Lennox Lewis vs. Michael Grant -- 340k
Nov 11, 2000 Lennox Lewis vs. David Tua -- 420k
Dec 11, 2004 Vitali Klitschko vs. Danny Williams -- 120k
Aug 12, 2006 Hasim Rahman vs. Oleg Maskaev II -- 60k
Mar 1, 2003 John Ruiz vs. Roy Jones Jr. -- 525k

In 2018 heavyweight boxing on PPV is pretty much dead. And we have two fighters who NEVER fought on PPV. And we have two fighters who are not very popular. Looking at the historical comparisons and to naively assume Wilder vs. Fury does 750k is downright insane.

200k would be a massive success for this PPV and in line with historically comparable bouts.
