I don't care what he's accomplished, you're only as good as your last fight in this sport, and in this case, Khan's last few fights have been pretty dismal and he hasn't looked nearly elite.

If he wants a shot at Mayweather, like has already been said he should prove himself at 147 with 1 or 2 solid wins. It's one of the reasons i would love a Khan-Brook fight so that Khan can AT LEAST prove himself the best WW in his own country.

He clearly always failed at the high level and is not worth headlining any serious main event except in Boltonabbad or Bradfordistan. Sadly, this fight will eventually happen in England, it's easy money for Mayweather as usual.

Well, if Mayweather is going to fight 5 more times over the next two years then Amir Khan might as well be one of the guys to get a shot.

No he hasn't, but I've always said when it comes to Mayweather he will always go for the fight that makes the most money. Comming of a mandtory with a more deserving but less lucrative Gurrrero. I can think of a few better match ups that are better if Alvarez dose not work out. However if I had to put money on what plan B. is. This is it.

  7. he doesnt deserve it, but i wanna see floyd retire poor old khan. he's beginning to make a spectacle of himself. it's embarrassing. amir "chin" khan is one knockout away from retirement.

No way he can go 12 with Mayweather's surgical precision shots. Not with that chin.

Very good point, Khan has yet to even beat a top rated welter at 147....

So why again is he being considered?

Either Brook or Alexander would be good.

I voted the 2nd option but I don't agree with the wording of it - it's not that he hasn't been successful at the top level, it's that he's lost his last few fights there and hasn't done anything to deserve a high rating at 147.

I dont think FMJs power would bother Khan too much and he can keep up in hand speed...

Would probably bring more money than most...

Id prefer Canelo, Bradley or Lara.

Bradley would be a better option.

I see these talks have quieted. Which is probably a good thing.
