Brandon Rios comes in at 137(good for him since he is a 135 pounder) and Amir comes in at 140. Discuss.

Never thought about it before, good fight, not sure... leaning towards Khan to keep him at range for most of the fight and peppering him from the outside, Rios gets in occasionally doing good work and hurting khan. Not enough though as Khan is able to move and survive, gets back to boxing and edges Rios in a tough fight.

    Khan UD

I favor Rios over anyone at 135 and 140 except for Guerrero maybe. He is a big strong pressure fighter with iron cast chin and good enough boxing skills. That said a fight with Khan will be close I see Khan beating him in the early rounds like he did with Maidana but once that Rios connects he has the stamina to take Khan out

Khan would tear him up. Too much speed, movement and physicality.

That's a fight with Maidana. Rios is a different animal. Better ring IQ and more precision (although Maidana is improving). He also has the heart of a Mexican warrior which is something special. Khan goes down like Acosta in a late round...unless he can stop Rios with a body shot which is possible. Would love to see this match but Khan is likely to move to 147 very soon.

While Rios might have more conventional technique and is more of a swarmer than Maidana, I don't think he has that x factor of unpredictability Maidana had, which allowed him to land that overhand right after a few good rounds of aggressive uppercuts. It would be close and I could see Rios winning, but I think Khan would land too much too often and hurt Rios. I'd pick him to win a decision.

As much as I hate Bradley but he'd beat rios at 140 and JMM would beat him at 140 aswell. Khan on the other hand is a tough call just because his chin is always a question mark. I'd like to see maybe one or two more fights of rios (preferably at 140) Against someone like Judah or matthysse just to see how good he really is before predicting the fight however I'm edging towards a khan by majority decision.
