based on the post interviews, the poor bustard thought Dirrell was NOT down... odd, but possible... just as possible that Dirrell was genuinely hurt.
IMO, He found his chance to land a clean blow (Without Dirrell's movement) & took it. (Too bad AD was on his knee's) Andre's style is a killer for Abraham's. Nothing more, Nothing less.
i think, he was not sure, but then tought, oh the refree is not here, so it's probably ok. and he doesn't punch with full power, thats very clear to see.
Dude I think the first punch knocked him out not the second one... I only seen this just then .... I couldnt see more then this gif but he hits him dirrels going down and he gives him a shove.. thats a knock down and maybe a knock out .. then he throw's another one.. which may have knocked him out but I think he was gone already.. On that note he throw why he was down thats a dq
he was too cowardly to face losing and taking a boxing lesson, so decided to get himself dq'd to save face
Abraham knew what he was doing and could clearly see Dirrell was down, but out of frustration and desperation he didn't care. He knew he was losing the fight and was getting soundly outboxed, so he finally got a clean shot and he took it.
What I was going to say. I don't think there is anyway a fighter could come off worse after a fight than what AA did. I don't know the guy, and losing may have alot to do with it, but he is a ****ing *****. I hope Dirrell finishes his ass in the rematch.
I don't buy the theory that AA got himself DQed on purpose. I've seen a few fights where I was quite certain a fighter did that, and that is usually something that happens over a protracted period with multiple warnings, et. Wright/McKart III comes to mind.
