Okay so Alex Arthur and Nicky Cook are getting it on this weekend. Good old Scotland Vs England tear up.

Both have won the Domestic and Euro titles and both have only one defeat on their records. Defeat for either probably spells the end for their career at world level.

    Who wins?

Im going for an Arthur stoppage in the late rounds.

Arthur KO, purely on experience. Its a tricky call though, esp. after listening to Kevin Mitchel on Bunces program, he made a good case for Cook.

Arthur will stop him @2:37 of round 9 with a left hook to the body.

Cook cant box, hes all about dirty tricks trying to get inside to land his left hook to the body.
Arthur is a notoriously slow starter & Cook will come out all guns blazing trying to do a 'Gomez' on Arthur.

However, Arthur is a much more controlled operator nowadays, & after he weathers Nicky Cooks early storm of heabutting, kidney punches & low blows Alex will spear him with his superior jab & slaughter Cook with uppercuts & sickening bodyshots.

My final prediction is Arthur to brutally finish Cook in 7 rounds.

AAA to win. Better alround and bigger. I like AAA even though he can be a real arse at times and a cry baby. Better a jock winning than a cockney.

AAA is a bit underrated I feel. He should win this comfortably, he's better in nearly all departments. Only question marks over him are weight draining, but its never wise to pick solely based on that when there is a class difference, as many did with Enzo/Haye.

Arthur for me as long as the making weight isnt too big a factor. A 70% Arthur will be enough to get the job done.

ps. Luevano is a decent fighter but I feel people are making him out to be better than he actually is in order to make Cooks defeat less of an issue.

Good fight. Two guys with average talent but have achieved alot with hard work that has given them a good skill level. Could be a close one.

It's a bigger man v a smaller man in terms of weight but it could back fire on the big man. The big man struggles to make weight while the smaller man now has an easier time. Could work both ways.

    It's a good fight.

Just seen the weigh in, Arthur looked dried out, Cook looked slightly better.

I still fancy Arthur to win this though.

Yeah, he didnt look great, it depends on how quickly his body rehydrates and recovers.

Some fighters can manage it without losing too much strength eg Scott Harrison whereas others are ****ed before the fight starts.
