chavez meldrick. it had two ATGS AND the drama, AND the pace. And the controversy.

that was an unbelieveable fight.Taylor was an elite fighter not an ATG.Loved watching his fights with mcgirt, hooper, norris and aaron davis.if he had held on and beat chavez i think he would have become an All time great.

probably, but he did look bad towards the end, a stoppage was not entirely undue.

If he'd learned to fake that better..

indeed, but would chavez be an ATG without this win?

Theres a symbiotic ambivalence to this result that will echo for eternity.

Maybe the 90s were the best decade for the boxing
I voted Benn /Mclennan but Chevez and Taylor was a special fight that you could discuss with people until the end of the world .
As time is going on some of the fights that you regarded as modern battles are now becoming legendary

Thats a harsh way of eliminating him from ATG status. Many many felt the stoppage was BS. So you're essentially relying on a referee's arguably wrong decision to eliminate him from ATG status

i don't think he has an all time great resume either.he doesn't have enough notable wins.
