Last time I ran into Bobby was at Olympic Auditorium at the Chavez vs De La Hoya press conference. He is a Big Oscar fan ironically.

If him and Barrera got in the ring and they went 15 rounds I am sure that it would be exciting and that someone would go to the hospital...

Hey Ricardo i was there too:lol: I was down in the conference area and everyone in the stands were booing Oscar bad,and going Crazy for Chavez . Chavez,Chavez,Chavez the whole time.
Then whats messed up is when they opened up the bottom for the fans to get autographs Chavez ran to his Limo and all his bodyguards were shooing everyone away. Then all the Hypocrites swarmed Oscar and Oscar signed everyone (who was just booing him) autographs:-( I think I remember Bobby being there but i didnt meet him that day, but i used to meet him regularly at the WBHOF banquet.
Good memories ! I remember hanging out with that fine model from Lowrider magazine Dazza:yikes at the press conference so i think my attention shifted from Chacon.

PS I remember Having Oscar sign a picture of him and Rafeal Ruelas and he said hey thats my buddy ( he was cracking up) he was just coming off a ko of him. He was super cool to everyone even though they were hating on him just minutes before. Chavez being the primadonna that he was didnt care about his fans.
Chavez will always be one of my favorites as a fighter, but that soured me on him as a person.
Oscar on the other hand was super cool to his fans every time i met him.

I was part of the Promotion team for the closed circuit event at Olympic and I was invited as a courtesy. I was backstage for about 2 hours and I could tell you Oscar was calm, polite, and approachable, however, when I approached Chavez his people gave me a mean look...I saw other things on Chavez part that made me lose respect for him.

I also met Arum. Arum cracked me up when told one of his employees to make sure that the music played by the Mariachis "sounded Mexican".
