He looked like he wanted saving, but was too proud to raise his hands which would have signalled a proper quit job. So yeah, he was asking basically for the fight to be stopped without actually saying so.
How is it not. He got his face boxed off and quit because he couldn't touch Leonard. Duran is a LW all time great but that was an embarrassing moment, although not as embarrassing as bum Joshua getting punched around by a fat man
Its less embarrassing because he lost to an all time great but i guess but it's not that far apart. At the very least Joshua didn't outright say "im done" and go back to his corner.
It was worse, he wouldn’t come out of the corner, he pretended to not understand, then the fake shock when the ref rightfully called it off. He understood that bit easy enough. Nope, that was way worse taking everything into account. Tyson really only quit when he was 15 years or more past his best and not a champion for years. You see him quit prime against Douglas ? No me neither
He quit, but I don't hold it against him. He'd been knocked down 4 times so his chances of winning on the cards were slim to none. So his only option was continuing to take punishment in a Heavyweight contest in the faint hope of getting a stoppage when his body had already started failing him. For me he made the pragmatic choice rather than the romantic one
Oh i see, so it's just an imaginary super powerful all time great version of Buster Douglas that people made up so they can justify why Mike Tyson lost. Got it
