Yes. It's so clear that Oscar wanted to lose to someone who started their career in the flyweight division. Oscar also decied that he'd far to much money and didn't mind kissing another 60 or 70million away that any potential fight with Hatton would have brought him. Oscar also wanted a generation to remember him as the guy who quit on his stool after being battered by a Filipino midget for 8 rounds.
There's just no sane reason for dela Hoya to throw that fight. Also the manner in which he was beaten just doesn't support the theory.
