Who would win this fight the best 2 guys to come out of Sactown. Im goin with Lopez at 130 or Corrales at 135.

Will give my opinion on how the fight would play out later.

I'd lean toward Lopez, who I feel was a classier and more well-rounded fighter - although Corrales would probably be the hardest puncher he's faced in his career.

Yey i see your point and although Lopez had a real good chin he did get hurt at times and Corrales could dent even the biggest of chins. Not to mention that although Lopez was a good boxer he liked to unecesarily brawl at times and that could cost him against Corrales, but then again Lopez was a pretty decent puncher himself.

Thats why im picking Lopez at Jl where i think hed fight a smarter fight maybe box him more.

At lightweigt Lopez was more flat footed and brawled more where i think Corrales would get the best of Lopez.

I didn't see a whole lot of Lopez at 135, so I'll limit my post to the 130 pound version, who I have a high regard for.
I've always though of Lopez as a bit of a throwback type fighter, he seemed somehow old-school to me. He was rugged, tough, savvy and carried enough speed and power to make anyone respect him. He was pretty well-rounded at 130.
I don't think he was the hardest guy to hit though, so he'd have to watch for the heavy-handed Corrales' power, but Lopez had a good chin so for me it's unlikely that Corrales would be able to score a KO from nowhere, but would have to wear Lopez down - something I don't see him doing. Lopez was good in the trenches.

    Lopez by decision.

I'll go against the grain and pick Corrales by TKO. Brawling with Chico is just not a good idea, no matter how tough you are.

Lopez, at any weight, was too smart, resourceful and rugged for Corrales..Tony by decision at any weight, any time...would have put Diego dwon as well...and maybe...maybe even have tko'ed him in a late round.

It would be a great fight......Lopez could pressure him, bring the fight in close, but this was the kind of fight Corrales tended to like.....too tough to call.
