Wilder is 38, hasn't fought for 13 months and it's not certain at this stage how much effect the 3 wars against Fury have taken out of him.

Usyk turns 37 in January and fights once a year.

Fury is 35, looked awful against Ngannou and may even retire before much longer.

Joshua is 34 and with 2 recent losses to Usyk is in on the rebuild and seemingly not ready for a top level opponent.

Are our aging and inactive heavyweights ever get around to fighting each other?

I honestly think Fury will retire.

AJ Wilder, Yeah, its the next biggest fight and Wilder will want the money and Saudi will want a big fight.

Usyk will retire too, I don't think he'll wait around.

Usyk vs Fury is the only one I can see actually happening.

All that was in place according to Hearn. 100% sure he said he was....and then nothing.

Time is ticking for both of them.

Likewise and that's why I made the thread, to see if others thought the same way.

I do think that Fury Usyk will happen next.

I could see Fury and AJ fighting even in 5 years time when both are well passed it but it would likely still do good business in the UK.
I don't think that Wilder AJ will happen hell they couldn't even get Wilder Ruiz over the line when both were with the same promoter.

The heavyweight division is almost at the point where you wish you could just scrap it and start over from scratch.

I don't think there's any chance Fury and Joshua will still be around in 5 years time. Not unless they both start wasting money like Mike Tyson anyway.

I think Fury will be around for a maximum of 2 more years and Joshua about 3. But either could only be a loss from retirement.

That is possible but I could see both coming out of retirement to fight each other for a pay day.

    We'll see Fury/Usyk and Joshua/Wilder but not Usyk/Wilder or Fury/Joshua

They would both have to have wasted a lot of money in retirement for that to seem like a good idea. But when it comes to comebacks, boxing rarely fails to disappoint.

Yes Fury v Usyk simply has to happen for Undisputed
No Wilder v Joshua Hearn has no intention of making this fight
No Fury v Joshua should Fury beat Usyk he retires then maybe comes back in 12-24 months
No Wilder v Usyk should Usyk beat Fury why risk it all against Wilder, one punch can change everything

Fury Usyk is the only one

Whether we get a rematch is the only question

Both Usyk & Fury will effectively retire once their business is dealt with

Then the bums will come like crows looking for the fallout. AJ & Wilder aren't fighting for small change anymore either but they want to win another belt and save some rep after their loses. They could win 50 more belts, they will always be regarded below Usyk & Fury. I think Wilder 1 shots Usyk but overall Usyk is a more complete achieved fighter.
