Even though i am critical I still class myself as a fan - I do like watching his fights.

He should definately fight Margo, its a perfectly winnable legitemate no strings title fight, zero critism could be thrown at him if he comes back and beats the number 1 welterweight, plus if he stuck around he would be the top of one of the best divisions in boxing with plenty of fights coming his way.

A victory over Pac, would be a hollow one, there would be just too many 'buts' and 'what ifs'.

Margarito (if he gets the welterweight championship)

I don't think that Pacquiao is going to beat Hatton.

I'd like Floyd to fight Antonio Margarito. I see it as a match that is tailor-made for Floyd, but there are so many out there who thing Margarito can beat him that it is worth proving it to the contrary. Unfortunately, once Floyd shuts Margarito out, some will still call it controversial and/or that Floyd waited for Margarito to get older and/or the "real challenge" is someone else Floyd hasn't fought (Williams/Cotto/anyone).

So, the Margarito fight will silence a longstanding debate, and the time has never been better now that Margarito has defeated Cotto and stands apart from the others at the moment.

Ranked in terms of who I'd like to see Floyd fight...
    1. Margarito
    2. Williams
    3. Cotto
    4. Pacquiao

A Williams fight would be good since Floyd faces significant physical disadvantages that I believe he can overcome, which will look good on his resume.

Cotto lost to Margarito just recently, so this one will have to wait until Margarito and/or Williams are taken care of.

Pacquiao has beaten a weight-drained De La Hoya, so we will have to see how he does against Hatton to get an accurate picture of whether he should be getting in with the bigger man in Floyd. The bottom line being that Floyd has bigger fish to fry at Welterweight right now.

I do NOT want to see Floyd rematch Hatton. It is mindboggling to me that this fight has even been suggested. Floyd handled Hatton as well as he could have, knocking him out after dismantling him. Unless Hatton goes and beats Margarito, there is no need for this until other business is taken care of.

Hatton is going to beat Pac ... and Mayweather already knocked out Hatton so there's no reason to revisit that situation ... everyone knows that outcome.

Mayweather v the recognized welterweight champion.

If Margarito wins against Mosley and Cotto then he's the ring champion/ WBA/WBO ... thats enough to get a mega fight with Mayweather ... but if he loses twice ... then that only sets up a fight between he and Cotto. There's no reason for Cotto to fight Mosley since he already beat him.

    Either Mayweather v
Pac, if he beats Hatton (which he won't)
Margarito, if he beats Cotto and Mosley
Cotto, if he beats Margarito in rematch

Wasn't you the same person saying that Mosley is going to stop Margarito and now your saying you want him to fight Floyd.

    make your mind up...

Hope to see you in my Margarito thread after you go back to review your wishful thinking :good

Voted for Margarito. Mayweather would make more money fighting Pac, but he would gain almost no credit for beating him.

Id like FMJ to fight both but I voted Pacquiao because both he & Mayweather are the top 2 fighters right now & its not often that the 2 top guys CAN actually get close enough in weight to fight, Id like FMJ to fight AM later if AM beat Cotto which he should as should Floyd beat Pac.... but sometimes `should` doesnt quite work out that way in boxing, lets wait & see.
