I went for McDermot but only just. IM not boxing expert and i struggle to distinguish between glancing and good hits sometimes. But I felt in the first couple of rounds the commentator was hyping McDermots dominance.
Yeh all very true but what the **** has that got to do with anything?? If that was in the mind of the ref when he made the decision then that my friend is what would be called a 'fix' The fight needs to be judged on the basis of what went on during that night and the previous 12 rounds of boxing (10 in this instance) and I couldn't give a toss about prospects or potential. If there is anything else which has been taken into consideration while making a decision on the winner then it's a sorry day for every boxer/boxing fan out there. McDermott won it.
Im not the greatest of judges, but I actually had Fury winning this. I turn't down the volume and its a totally different story. I think, if the ref didn't give Fury the win by such a wide margin, and the terrible commentator's didn't go crazy every time John lifted his hand, most people would see this differently. Although, I dont think Fury's getting anywhere. For such a big guy he just doesn't have the power. Good luck to him though, wish him and John all the best.
