tito. simple as that. Probably the best mix of punching accuracy and crushing power the world has seen since Sugar Ray Robinson. Tito's Power Punching percentage consistently eclipsed the 60% margin and alot of fighters fell victim because of this. Truly one of the best welter/junior middleweight fighters we've had the pleasure to watch.

Calzaghe is the better overall fighter, but when it comes to resume Tito beats him.

    Tito Trinidad.

He dominated the welterweight division until he got bored and went up to 154.

I can't believe people are actually having a discussion about this. Tito no doubt. I don't even know why it was asked

    Trinidad

How big is this ATG list that we're saying Calzaghe is even on it?

I dont see Trinidad as dominating welter when imo De La Hoya was cealry robbed in that fight. Statisticaly Trinidad is perfect at the weight but Joe is statisticaly perfect in his career.

Also Calzaghe would NEVER be taken to school like Trinidad was against Bhop and Winky, even if a past it Calzaghe came back and lost to a young champ like Dawson you just know it would be close.

Calzaghe is one of the most difficult fighters to beat I have ever seen. Very effective although not always pleasing on the eye.

very true, calzaghe was awkwardly effective and great in his own way. but win or lose, tito has a much better resume (especially pre-oscar period) and his skill set was much more impressive. he was one dimensional yes, but offensively he was BRILLIANT. calzaghe at the same time was also one dimensional. i read about his ability to adapt all the time and though i see subtle shifts (ie: kessler) all his fights he basically leap in and out, swarming his opponents with sloppy punches.

    Tito

but will people stop mentioning David Reid as a great win, yes it was a good win against an overmatched opponent.
