Yes if he ducks Groves he can never call himself a warrior again, a real warrior doesn't duck the fight everyone wants to see. He will still have some big wins of course but his whole persona and reputation will be gone in my eyes.
Can't discredit his fight history, but saying on every available occasion, that he is a "warrior" and fights with "honour" then he should live up to what he says and give Groves a well earned rematch.

Ruin his reputation? No. Damage his reputation? Yes. This type of situation has happened plenty of times before, but in 10 years time when people look back on his career it will be a small footnote if that. He has achieved alot in boxing, so merely not giving a rematch will not destroy all of that.
Well he has spouted the 'Warrior' bollocks for MANY YEARS now and has said it umpteen times in a single interview; yet when he gets hammered for 7-9 rounds and comes back to win it by the skin of his teeth, and after blatantly being out cold in the first round he won't give a rematch; I think it's safe to say that his reputation IS f*cked.
I wouldn't go as far as ruined, but it will look bad on his legacy. Boxers of yesteryear would have gone for an immediate rematch, now unfortunately it's solely about the money than the glory. The guy wants to rematch with Ward, why? Because of the money. He was clearly beaten by Ward, and there was nothing in his boxing arsenal that would suggest a different result.

To the casual fan probably not.For fans that follow the sport very much so. I was believing he would fight Chavez jr next but from the little bit i have heard we all may get our wish of a re match. If he doesn't face Groves again & GG goes on to have a great career (which i think he can) it will be forever bought up in the coming years.Froch's ego it won't sit well with him.
