    After his last two wins and adding the title of 135 to his resume?

    Or he still has to prove something to be ahead of the other two Mexican legends?

    He's above Barrera at this point but not Morales... Marquez needs a 2 more big fights to surpass them both... He would surpass even Salvador Sanchez..

    He's clearly below both of them, imo.

    JMM needs one more big win to pull even, at least. People are starting to forget what MAB and EM accomplished, especially MAB below featherweight.

    It was a huge fight and tremendous victory..

    PAc= David Diaz

    Marquez= Juan Diaz

    The two Diazs are a world apart.

    not a world apart. d. diaz was a top 5 lightweight when pac fought him. i rate juan diaz as a B+ fighter while d. diaz as a B.

    Top 5 according to who?

    And even if he was, it was definitely spot # 5.

    MAB and Morales both won titles in 3 weight classes. JMM just did that as well. If he were to win a title in a 4th, he would most certainly pass them both, but as of now, its hard to put him above them both.

    I won't disagree with you there, but even though I feel he beat Pacquiao both times, they are still losses on his record.

    penden, gainer, john, casa and diaz aren't even assured of going into the HOF, very much less being ATGs. i suggest you look at both mab's and erik morales' fight records in boxrec too for comparison to jmm.
