Aside from a faded Barrera, a faded Casamayor and a Top 10 lightweight recently removed from the beating of his life, Marquez has a draw with Pacquiao to his credit.

Well, I guess you can count his featherweight title wins over Smoke Gainer and Manuel Medina in there, but then I'd have to bring up his loss to Chris John...and his loss to Pacquiao.

Still behind Barrera and Morales, who hold better wins over fighters who were undoubtedly Top 5 P4P at the time (Barrera over Morales and Hamed
, Morales over Barrera and Pacquiao).

He needs to double the great wins in his resume.

Bad management is the only real reason he isn't as high as those two, and I feel he only has himself to blame. There is little room for error in this game. He almost lost to a faded Barrera at 130lb, and if it wasn't for the corrupt judges, and the mistake by the referee, he might well have done.

Just to clarify, I had Marquez a point up, but those referees that night were all corrupt and there is no question. The scoring for all of the fights that night were beyond belief.

IMO he is below their level now...

But after he retires, history will be kind to him and prolly eventually rank him higher..especially if Pac keeps on winning.
