Estrada would be lucky to make it beyond rd 5 against Inoue, too flat footed, too small and too easy to counter, Inoue would light him up and stop him early. Fulton is more of a challenge in my opinion, Inoue will be moving up in weight and Fulton stylistically isn't as easy as Estrada as he won't just be there to be hit. I think Inoue beats him and does so convincingly, Fulton isn't half as slick as he's made out to be and against the faster more agile Inoue, I think he actually gets out boxed. But I don't think this fight happens if Fulton really is moving up to 126 to rematch Figueroa for the Interim WBC featherweight title. That means Akhmadaliev is the more likely target for Inoue for a title shot at 122 but he has a mandatory next so Inoue should move up and fight a top contender next to put him in a position for a title shot.
Either would be great, but I voted for Fulton. Inoue is getting older and is ready to move up. Staying at 118 or cutting to 115 for Gallo would be a step back. I'd eagerly tune in for both though.
Inoue struggled w/ Donaire? He got his eye socket broken in the second round and then lost 2-3 more rounds on single haymakers that Donaire landed because of his compromised vision. He wasn't dominated, outworked, or outboxed in any round. Otherwise, Inoue cleanly outboxed and outworked him 9-3. What happened in the rematch? With no injury, Inoue bossed Donaire and obliterated him. Struggled to cut off the ring? You are literally the only person on the planet that saw it that way. The rest of us saw Inoue cut off the ring beautifully, break that boy down, and then stopped him. You're just refusing to give credit for Butler's outstanding defense and incredible toughness. Inoue dominated the fight for every second of every round until the KO. Inoue's been FAR, FAR more dominant across 3 weight divisions than Fulton has in his. Many people had Figs beating Fulton, so there's that as well. Inoue finna wreck Fulton and then you'll find some way to discredit the win. Keep the same energy, my boy.
Those are called the struggles G. Ill give credit if Inoue wins, i just dont see him wrecking him like you do. Put some respekt on Fultons name, ya dig.
You can't blame him for favouring Inoue so heavily, respect has to be earned and Fulton hasn't done that. He's had 3 world title fights one of which was close enough to warrant a rematch which looks likely to happen at featherweight. Inoue in contrast is a 3 weight world champion having won 18 world title fights and unlike Fulton is regarded as one of the best P4P fighters on the planet right now. The gulf in proven quality is vast, so it shouldn't be a shock if people pick Inoue to wreck Fulton.
Estrada due to the fact Inoue hasn't beaten a P4P fighter yet, and Estrada currently sits at P4P #10. I don't want to get into this debate again, but i still feel Estrada would be the best win on Inoue's resume. So for the points i made above i feel like a win over Estrada, would be a very nice win on Inoue's resume. But one final point thats only if the Fulton fight can't be made, because i know a few fighters aren't keen on fighting Inoue.
But in reality, Estrada has looked bad in recent fights (getting hurt and dropped by a shot Cuadras), almost losing to a no name guy that was supposed to be a tune-up, robbed Gonzalez in Fight 2, and could have lost to a Gonzalez who finally got his engine going in the second half of the fight. Detractors will immediately say Estrada was much smaller, never fought at the weight, should have lost to Gonzalez in their rematch, and looked pedestrian in the trilogy fight with an even older Gonzalez. YOU KNOW THIS. Estrada brings name value, but that's it. In terms of difficulty, Moloney, Rodriguez, Donaire, and even Butler would rank higher. All 4 would beat Estrada at 118. It's not really a debate, but willful ignorance on your end.
" When the topic of the long-awaited kickboxing match between Tenshin Nasukawa and Takeru was decided, he said, "The atmosphere when the card that the fans wanted to see was decided, and the strange atmosphere. I think it's going to be one of the matches that will bring out the best in me.I want to do that kind of match too.I'm hoping that someone will comment that they're aiming to win the 5th class, but I wonder if I can keep that in mind when I speak. Since I became the champion, I've heard some fans secretly say they're looking forward to this fight. ” He referred to the match against Kazuto Ioka, the four -division champion" Apparently Inoue called out Ioka earlier this year. If Ioka wins vs Franco, I think this is more likely and bigger in Japan than Estrada vs Inoue.
I said i didn't want a debate on this subject again, and i'm not gonna go round in circles with this discussion again with you. Again no offence to you but we covered this already in other thread, and i'm allowed my opinion and vice a versa. All i'm gonna say is P4P number 10, big name value, good name on his resume on Inoue. Never said anything about difficulty of the fight. And i also said i would prefer Fulton "if the fight can be made" if being the key word here.
I know, but you gotta acknowledge that Estrada in his current form is gonna be easy work. Easy work means he won't be Inoue's best name on his resume. I wouldn't mind that fight at all for the reason that Estrada would be a nice name on his resume. But highly disagree it would be Inoue's best win.
Yes i agree i heavily favour Inoue in the fight, i just think its a really good name as filler on Inoue's record. Due to P4P status of Estrada and name value as we both said. Again quite a few fighters aren't too keen on fighting Inoue, in a perfect world i'd prefer him to fight Fulton. But i'd say its not a guarantee the fight will take place. Estrada has been keen to fight Inoue by calling him out, so if moving down in weight doesn't effect Inoue, i'd say beating Estrada would be good move.
Inoue missed weight on the first try against Butler — I'd say moving down would be a highly detrimental move. Estrada would need to go north. I don't think the Fulton fight is going to happen, unfortunately.
