If inoue was the monster they're trying to sell him as, he would have destroyed donaire. But it was fairly competitive (had inoue way up even before the KD though). Inoue showed toughness and grit, but was getting hit clean too much for my liking.
Inoue hasn't really been hit consistently. Donaire did land or 2 big shots here and there. But shot to bits Donaire couldn't land round by round. The kid is shot!! Never been the same for years.Slow a second slow. Can Maloney? Hmmmm... He is younger and if he has the game plan I believe he could make it hard for Inoue.
I'm sold on Inoue being a great puncher. A great boxer, not quite. Durable? We'll see, not on cuts Moloney is not that good or dynamic, so Inoue should be able to stop him. Best guess 7th round TKO.
Donaire never lost at 118 before and definitely looked better than at 126, and considering Monsta blew out every other former, reigning or future champ he's faced, incl. Narvaez that Donaire couldn't, you can safely call him legit. Moloney is a tough, hard hitting top BW who's never been stopped before, so what if Inoue achieves that again? Oh he wasn't that good an opponent?
I favour Inoue but I also worry History favours Australian fighters over Japanese ones at world level: https://www.asianboxing.info/features/japan-vs-australia-the-rivalry-at-world-level-so-far History against Monster
Really is interesting how one sided that rivalry is at world level. Seems Japan have at least been more even at OPBF level.... But this is obviously Inoue we're talking about not Shingaki and Nishizawa
Picking the Aussie,to upset Inoue, channeling the late great Lionel Rose andJeff Fenech as his Insperation.
Inoue via 7 round TKO. Just finished ! Right hand that floored Moloney. Pretty much one sided with one KD in the 5th before the 7th KO.
