Does Jones make your all time top 10 lightheavyweights? If not, could you please list 10 fighters who you place ahead of him and their acheivments that warrant such rating?

I guarantee I end up arguing about Moore-Jones in this thread.

Spinks would beat Roy at this weight, no doubt for me. I have Roy placed at 11.

The Jones record at LH only is not that impressive. Too many losses and ko defeats in not a whole lot of bouts. And I also happen to think lots of guys are going to win that title when the opposition is a 40 year old McCallum.

    1. Jones won the WBC interim lightheavyweight title from Mike McCallum. It was official when he beat a prime undfeated Montell Griffin, then proceded to unify it from fighting various other men over the years.

    2. His first KO loss did not come until he was 35 years of age, and until that point was 15-1, most of which were all title fights. That's a better claim than a lot of lightheavys can make.

    Nope.

    In no order

    Loughran,
    Jack Delaney
    Bob Fitz
    Jack O'Brien
    Paul Berlenbach
    Maxie Rosenbloom
    Billy Conn
    Moore
    Johnson
    Dick Tiger
    Bob Foster
Spinks and others are over Jones imo.

I don't think so, I think all of the below could be ranked above him.

    Ezzard Charles
    Archie Moore
    Gene Tunney
    Bob Foster
    Michael Spinks
    Harold Johnson
    Bob Fitzsimmons
    Harry Greb
    Tommy Loughran
    Billy Conn
    John Conteh
    Matthew Saad Muhammad
    Victor Galindez
