Watch the Meldrick Taylor fight before you adress me again. Then tell me what Taylor did that Mosley couldn't do and do it better. Them tell me if Chavez defense is great then why is Taylor is hitting him with so many punches. Taylor wasn't even a great fighter and was 10 seconds and a more forgiving referee away from beating Chavez. Sorry Mosley is several notches above Camacho, Rosario and Haugan. Btw I've predicted the super six winner, Martinez rise and Pacquiaos inability to fight right hand counterpunchers. Might fight predictions are impeccable. You and the pedophile you are referring to are nobodies in comparison. Again address the Taylor fight and what he did that Mosley couldn't if you want me to respond to your next post.
Taylor was a volume puncher. He was winning the fight by out-working Chavez, landing more while Chavez landed better. That wasn't Mosley's style. The fact that they're both fast and black doesn't make them comparable, but I don't expect a neophyte like yourself would be able to differentiate. Run along and play now.
The Chavez that fought Taylor was past his prime, first off. Less speed on hand and foot, less head movement, less sharp in parrying, less physically imposing. Mosley could feasibly match Taylor in speed and athleticism, but he rarely threw in such high volume or in such close proximity for an extended period of time. It's a matter of styles and comfort zones here. Not only that, but there's the overwhelming myth that Taylor was pitching a shut-out, and that Chavez wasn't slowly wearing him down by winning rounds doing the better work on the inside. At 135, as great as Shane was, he hadn't really been tested intensely over 12 and I'm willing to bet the weight-cutting hampered his durability at least somewhat. I'm not saying it's inconceivable for Shane to beat Chavez at 135 (look at my original post), but you posited all at once that Vargas, DLH, and Margarito all had the same "Mexican infighter style" which was just flat out incorrect on multiple levels. Nobody is impressed with you picking the Super Six Winner (Ward was pretty much a favorite all along, assuming that's who you're mentioning), deducing Pacquiao has trouble with right-handed counter-punchers (visible on film for all to see, failing to see the "impeccable" genius here), or that Martinez would become a dominant force. Bujia has indisputably more knowledge than you do concerning the sport of boxing. Aside from talking about a few African American fighters, some Michigan fighters, a dislike of Manny Pacquiao, and your love of Floyd Mayweather Jr., you haven't ever really shown much of anything of substance on the forum. Stop acting like an authority figure and insulting respected members of the forum when you display a plainly misconstrued, generalized conception of styles and have such little experience in the sport itself that you'd make a thread calling Pacquiao's use of 16oz gloves in sparring a sign of PED use. Believe me, it would take a while before your supposed technical understanding makes me cower in fear and respect. That's all the time I'm going to waste on your childishly arrogant and ignorant self today.
At Lightweight, Holiday was the only decent fighter he faced at the time he fought them, and he just so happened to be the only one he failed to stop. I think that says something. What fighters in or around their prime did Mosley ever stop regardless of weight? Margarito is the only one I can think of. Based on that we're supposed to believe he stops Chavez?
Shane by KO. Shane too fast and too explosive. Chavez had issues with black fighters as is often the case with Mexican warriors in the ring. Too slick...
medrick taylor vs chavez all over again but this time with a different outcome, mosley was just as fast as taylor but a lot stronger :hat
That was a past his prime Chavez at 140lbs...At 135lbs he took punches from one of the most devastating punchers of the division in Rosario and was not wobbled once. At 135lbs, i see Chavez taking a close decision. 115-113
LW SSM >>>>>> WW SM LW SSM (Underrated) >>> LW JCC (overrated) This would be a war but JCC style was made for SSM and SSM would take him to the wood shed! Great war BUT JCC heart would get him in trouble and he gets KOed by sugar (who was actually sugar at LW) in the late rounds. The only ones I would give the edge at Lw over SSM is Pernell and Duran.
I dont see how anyone can say Shane was underrated and Julio overrated at 135lbs, when Chavez clearly defeated the better oppsoition at the weight, even tho he wasnt at the division nearly as long as Shane was..Again, tell me who excatly did Shane beat at 135lbs??
JCC beats Shane without trouble. Randall knocked down a past his best, drunk, partied out JCC. Randall was also on horse ****ing steroids to the brim. Look at the guys noggin'. Everyone should know this by now. Randall was on steroids.
Randall only won because of the point deductions. I believe he also had broken ribs. Steroids kept him going. I remember he was taking a form of steroid they give race horses.
chavez had trouble with slick boxer ie, whitaker, medrick taylor... mosely would beat him easily and maybe tko him :hat
