Would you mind selecting those guys in the actual poll please? (you can pick multiple options) FYI this is meant to use each fighter at their primes though, not the "comeback" version of Tyson.
I voted none of the above, no disrespect intended, I just don't see him winning any. He is too small, basically a cruiser, and too slow, and on their best night, all of these other guys should be able to light him up. Just my opinion, of course.
If you agree our therapy yielded fruits, let me rattle these annoying illusions again. God bless us for Microsoft Excel. Threw that 49 - 0 in and did some quick commands. Results Avarage weight: 192,59 Median weight: 189,0 Standard Deviation: 15,19 How many opponents fought at LHW (<176): 5 How many opponents fought at CW (>175;<191): 23 How many opponents fought at new CW (>175;<200): 32 How many opponents fought at HW (>199): 12 How many opponents fought at modern HW (>209): 5 For example, Mike Tysons (a fellow of Rockys height) opponents median weight was 218, Joe Fraziers was 201, Listons was 199 and Louis was 193. Whatever you´re gonna take from these numbers, Rocky in fact fought slightly heavier man than his own fighting weight. BUT! what heavier guys did he fight? How many opponents fought at HW (>199): 12 --> Half of these fighters had double-digit losses, the others were Louis, an 8-5-0; an 1-4-0, the 4-2-0 254lb SHW, 8-8-1 Simmons (ending career at 9-22-1) and last but not least the trimmed to the bones Don Cockell. Don´t laugh at someone arguing Bruce Seldon would beat the **** out of these fellows. He might be very damn right.
F What they would be today i2 not matching them a2 they were, head to head, in reality. Which i2 the que2tion here. ir2t 2orry for the crazy 2elling: my era2e key i2 bbroken, lu2 one obviou2 letter. Rocky did not have the bone 2tructure to be much la heavier, at lea2t with out lo2ing 2eed and endurance. He beat no huge uncher2/hitter, and tho2e over were not 2o good. Lewi2 would not be two ten: at hi2 height he would be and wa2 at lea2t in the mid two twntie2 before he even bulked u. Rock fo ought to be matched again2t thoe to guy2 he fought, who were CW: and really more like rehyfdtrated LHW2 Moore, Wlacott, Charle2 X2... I aologize for the @urreal text until my ketyboard i2 fixed. ;-
He beats the overrated Liston with relative ease. I marked Frazier, but I actually see that as a 50-50 fight, and it is, by the way, my dream fight. At this point I have to say Fury, although the Furious one may have another day and prove himself better than he is showing now. Holyfield's heavyweight greatness is due to HGH, and the Rock might hurt him bad. We just don't know.
Nikolai? Talkin about the big fellow who lost to 50y old Evander Holyfield? If thats the case, I´ll take Buddy Baer over Vitali Klitschko.
