He took alot of bombs from Hearns bfore the KO, the mans phenomenal no doubt..But that last right, geez a HW would have gone down from that. I just dont want to underrate or overrate a fighter..because Im old enough to see both fighters and what theyre capable of in the ring, theyve won in every which way possible and have beaten everytype of fighters. At thsi level, styles doesnt make fights as much as who wants it more.

I mean if someone tells you that Armstrong would steamroll Duran, you would respectfully say hold on there man...

Duran had his problems with certain fighters at LW and got beat by DeJesus. Who did Palomino beat that's as good as Mosely? Manny's quicker than Duran, hits just as hard imho, if not harder, and is more accurate. Duran has a little better defense and is naturally bigger. I'm taking Manny.

Although Pac/Cotto was more hyped than Duran/Palomino,the wins are equally impressive .Cotto had the edge in Boxing skills and Palomino was a lot tougher than Cotto. Punching power id say the edge goes to Palomino. I am making the comparison since you seemed to be insuate that Cotto was better than Palomino based on the Mosley comment. I posted a thread on the classic forum comparing Cotto and Palomino (before the Pac fight) and the poll came out even 9to9.

Yep, and James Jeffries probably gets the nod over Tyson on the classic forum.

I'm not a Palomino expert. I look at his record on boxrec and I don't see anything particularly outstanding about him. I have a couple fights where he was the opponent in my career sets and he doesn't look all that outstanding. Good, yes. Great? No. He doesn't look as good to me as the Cotto who beat Judah and I don't see anyone on his resume as good as Mosely. Why is Duran's victory over Palomino given all this play and Pac's over Cotto gets almost no credit from Durantards?

Would Palomino beat Mosely? Would he beat Clottey? Would he beat Cotto?

I dont think Palomino would beat Mosley(cotto wouldnt either in a rematch!) Id pick Palomino over Cotto. Palomino was very good just like Cotto. I think he beats Cotto similar to the way Margarito did. Palomino wouldnt get outclassed early like Margarito did but hed break Cotto down the way Margarito did and probably knock him out earlier. Palomino would put Judah in the Hospital and hed also stop Clottey late in a very close fight. You said you are not to familiar with Palomino so its hard for me to take your opinion seriously. If you looked at his record you would see that he had a lot of title defenses. Those guys might not have been Mosleys but lots of those guys were very good fighters Muniz 2X,Stracey,Lewis(draw),Green who would all have a good shot at beating Cotto.

 Yup, Ray Leonard was way to quick also, as evidenced by the fight in Montreal.

Pac has not even faced anyone as fast as Duran at 147,at least not the one that beat Leonard. You would probably have to go back to his days at 126 to find someone as fast. Barreras speed was no longer, what it was. Even the Morales that beat Pac wasnt as fast as a 147lb Duran.

I see that 25 people have picked Pac by Ko but not one has posted here? I wonder if its cause they are *******s that cant come up with any logic to that outcome.

Pacquiao brings nothing to the table that Duran cannot counteract. Whereas some overrate the man on the Classic Forium, he seems to be horribly underrated here. Pacquiao ain't got a chance in hell in knocking out Duran, Barkley couldn't do it, Hagler couldn't do it, it took a phenom in 6'1 Thomas Hearns to pull it off, one of the hardest hitters P4P of all time. Pacquiao doesn't quite measure up.

As much as it pains me to say because I've always been a huge fan of duran. I think with pacquiao ability to take a real good punch from a true welterweight. Pacquiao spped and angles would disrupt the onslaught of manos de piedra an he would eventually stop him for this same reason.

If Cotto busted Pacs eardrum, I shutter to think what Duran would do if Pac left himself exposed like that. If Pac performs well against Mayweather, I'll revise.
