Poll:Peter vs Chambers

the difference i see in this fight is control of distance. Chambers can't keep Peter out of range like the Klits. Chambers doesn't use his feet like the Klits and lacks their length and power. Peter will close the distance and be able to land effectively.

 

While the beating Peter took in his last fight may have put a crack in his confidence, and he may not be the same anymore......it also may cause him to take this career more seriously, and train harder than ever, in order to prove/reprove himself.


I think Peter will be like, as Larry Merchant called him, a wounded bull, with a new found focus, and will lay it all on the line and put immense pressure on Chambers.

I am leaning towards Peter to TKO him, but slightly.

I was going to refer to this POLL on tonight's edition of OTG Boxing Radio, but the results are too lopsided to be taken seriously. Eddie Chambers is already a friend of OTG Radio but still, this is a horrible poll result.

Sam Peter is being too easily dismissed here.

 

Agree completely. I credit Chambers for taking this fight but Peter is all wrong for him. An aggressive Peter will give the slick, but laterally immobile Chambers problems. Think Peter/Toney with Chambers a step below even what an old Toney was in those fights.

I took Peter by decision.

 

I think Peter is struggling mentally. I think he has fallen and is not sure of himself at all. Thats why I picked Chambers. If Peter can pick himself up, dust himself off then I think he will pull off the win

At this time I dont have alot of confidence in Sam and I question if he does as well

Chambers is light years ahead of Peter skill wise. Peter is going nowhere in the Heavyweight Division.

 

KobeisGod I'm not going to disagree with your opinion but I'll tell you something about Samuel Peter. He's the most technically flawed HW champion I have ever seen. Not only that he's ridiculously overweight. If you think those slow wide telegraphed punches of Peter is going to ever land or hurt Chambers, well you need to know a thing or two about the sweet science because Chambers is leaps and bounds ahead of Peter in that department.
