Since there's been countless threads bout this in the last few days I thought I would make a poll to just put everyones opinions in one place.

Should Cotto- Pacquaio b a title fight seeing as its being fought at a catchweight of 145.

In addition to that answer this, if that catweight had been 143 would it still have been fair to put the belt on the line.

First of all this is a GREAT fight and it needs to happen.

Second, it should be for the title just to add a little more spice into this fight, however, I agree with Cotto, if PAC wants the belt, the weight limit of that belt is 147 and he should be allowed to weight in at that.

Let's see.... 2 lbs vs the belt and make history if you win... What's it going to be PAC? If Arum doesn't pay Cotto extra $$$ for this I would bet that PAC allows Cotto those extra 2 lbs for that belt.

Not unless its at 147, like I've said before if Manny wants the belt so much 2lbs won't be much.

The problem is that Arum opened his big mouth before there was a contract so Cotto feel's that he is being suckered by the the Pacquiao team and that does not sit right with him.
Pac and his team should have been upfront about the tittle being at stake and not waited so long to bring it up.
This fight will most likely not happen unless the can soothe Cotto's hurt feeling's with more cash.

Would it be fair 2 call him a 7 div. Wrld champ when he won the 7th at a catchweight?

Was roy jones really heavyweight champion?

Its a bit like cheating history but hey, they can do wat they want

It's a welter weight fight, I'm sure they assumed Cotto would be defending the title.

Either way, Manny will get his chance at the title. If Cotto doesn't defend, the WBO will strip him and let Pac fight for the vacant title.

pac ask for 143 cotto demanded 145 and pac agreed on it. so really cotto gets what he wants and not putting the belt on the lines means he has no confident on winning this one.
If cotto is not scared of loosing he should have the mentallity of
"why not put the belt on line beside I will win this one and pac has no chance because he is a smaller man here and he is fighting on my division

Title fight equals more money. If he wants the belt he can cough up more cash or give the two pounds up.

I would demand both if I was Cotto.

p4p means **** when its your title on the line.

The limit is 147, if Pac wants the belt so bad he needs to go up and get it. Cotto doesn't have to go down to 145 to offer him the belt.
