Who do you guys like in this one? Im leaning towards Valero but this is an intresting one. Dont know if he can stop Soto though. Id say Valero by close decision.

Valero TKO somewhere mid rounds. But Soto has a good chance to be the first to take him the distance.

Soto is not a very good boxer. Gaudet was teeing off on him despite his total lack of power and chin just from using movement and angles.

Valero would hit Soto at will like a heavybag forcing a corner or ref stoppage. He would get far more leverage on his shots against someone with similar height and still hold the southpaw advantage.

I dont recall Gaudet doing as much as you say he did but the shots he did land were more a result of Soto having no regard or respect for Gaudets power. I think SOto has some above average boxing skills and will be on his A game against Valero, however i do agree that Valero will get to him. Soto has a height advantage on Valero. This will be a war at times but Valeros advantage in power and speed might prove to be the difference.

You know, the only fighters that have given Valero problems are the ones that make him fight on his backfoot. I wonder if La Zorrita can do this? Anyways this fight would be fireworks while it lasted.

At this point I would edge towards Soto. More experienced, very heavy handed, good chin, LOVES to stand and bang. Definitely not a lock, Valero is dangerous as all hell.

One thing for sure: I want to see this fight badly. It's one of the best fights that could be made in boxing today, right behind PBF-Pac or getting JMM into the mix with Soto or Valero.

    Valero takes this one.

I think a pure boxer can beat Valero, and Soto ain't it.

Despite his solid boxing skills Soto is very hittable. In his last fight Chavez was having success by taking the fight to him and Valero is several levels better at doing that than the Chavez that Soto fought. This would actually be a very good and competitive fight but Valero wins. Probably a decision but a stoppage wouldn't be surprising.

This is probably the FOTY if it happens. I think Soto's outstanding body work against Valero's fast and sharp combinations would be intriguing.

Soto by knockout, dont forget Soto is very aggresive too and he moves forward, valero is very easy to time him.

Valero by KO. That's a no brainer to me.

Good fight while it lasts, but I think Valero would stop him late. Soto didn't seem suited for lightweight to me when he fought Chavez.
