I think this fight will go to points with Valuev edging it. Golota would put up a brave fight and will have his moments.

Did you think either fight was close?

I recall Byrd's big mouth wife coming out onto the ring and and saying to Chris "you didn't get this one". The fight wasn't a landslide but it was pretty obvious Andrew won. Actually Byrd's gloves touched canvas like three times and no knockdowns were called. Against Ruiz Golota got 2 knockdowns and Ruiz got a point deducted. Many rounds were even with all the holding by Ruiz. Ruiz held more in that fight than in any fight I've seen him in before. Yes, he landed some shots late in the fight, but it wasn't nearly enough. I have a different outlook of boxing since these robberies.

Yeah, Golota should of beat Byrd and Ruiz, I will admit that. The Byrd fight was completely ridiculous, with him constantly getting hurt with body shots and going down. But how many other title fights did Golota lose ( and I include the Bowe fights, because Bowe knocked out Holyfield and he was the #1 HW in the World at the time) . And I doubt he would beat Valuev especially at his age now.

Making excuses is bull****. Golota should have put on a performance against Lewis, win or lose. He got a lidocaine shot 3 hours before the fight, showed up last minute and literally froze. That was ****ed up. But what he did to Bowe I've never seen in any fight, nor do I believe a fight(s) like this will ever happen again. Some of Golota's fights were extremely entertaining and gruesome.

Oh, and I forgot to add that I believe Golota (even at 40) could beat Valuev. If I had to bet on one guy or the other I'd bet on Golota. I wouldn't bet a lot but I'd still have to bet on Andrew.

Yes, that would be a helluva way to end a long, illustrious, and unusual career.

Certainly Golota haters don't care, but he DOES deserve a shot. He's been robbed of two titles against Byrd and Ruiz. Now's he's 40 and schooled McBride and Mollo. These guys are not top 5 material but you have to give Kevin credit for beating Tyson and you have to give Mollo credit, as he was supposed to be the next great American heavyweight. And by the way, Golota would school Valuev.

Golota proved when he beat the tyson slayer kevin mcbride that he could destroy any heavyweight in history. Id say the polish warrior would take him in the trenches, then with a combo of unbelivable power knock out valuev by the sixth round. This would silence his critics one last time, then golota can work with unicef in africa ameliorating there pain with his celestrial genius!

You would expect exactly that, right?

Which is why Valuev by RTD is the most probable outcome.

Valuev would win this fight big. Golota is just too old and too past his prime to hang in there with Valuev.
