@reznick ?

Very sloppy language on my part (what can I say, I was tired and posted it on a whim) but both my affirmative and negative options clearly provide some wiggle room. You sound paranoid.

"there 's no real basis to believe otherwise."
Is wiggle room?

The "No" option gives you all the wiggle room in the world.
The "Yes" option does not.

Fair play if you're saying you were tired and didn't word it the best.

Yes.

I still don't get what you're worried about exactly. The three admittedly imperfect and unstandardized options seem pretty clear to me. If it seemed legit to you, you vote "yes." If you're not sure/can't make up your mind, you vote "maybe." If it looks fishy to you, you vote "no."

I have seen the reversal angle of the KO. It landed with force, the KO is legit.

I've said I think it was a fix which might be harsh. What I do think is no heavyweight champion should be getting knocked sparko with that punch, ie the uppercut.

Even with the low quality you can see so much wrong with the form. A decent uppercut thrown with the right hand should have a solid base to create snap, so the left side of the body should be firmly planted; foot down, hip locked so when the right arm comes across its momentum is stopped and you get the whip snapping effect, and the power comes down the arm from the shoulder.

Carnera seems to throw both hands. Like he's throwing a particularly heavy bucket of water. Without keeping his left side stiff, he has nothing with which to create torque and all he lands is, at best, a heavy arm punch as it carries on its trajectory to somewhere behind Primo. No top fighter should be getting knocked out by such a poor punch imo so I say the kayo was not legit. Whether that means it was a fix or the occasionally flaky Sharkey just decided he'd had enough and quit, I don't know.

Jack didn't talk much about the fight, when old a little while before he passed on he stated simply that he couldn't get out of the way of Primo's jab that night and that it was like a telephone pole hitting him. The knockout punch he didn't see and it put him out. Jack never wavered in this.

If that's how you mean it, I'll vote yes.

This can't be acting
https://streamable.com/xay6t

I dont even think someone could make their own body do that.
The speed in which his head whips back.
The disoriented look of his face.
The way he drops like a sack of potatoes.
The fact that he's lifted to the tippy toes of his left foot.
The way his leg bends back and he lands on it.

Imagine trying to make your body do that to the perfect timing of an uppercut landing (supposedly) right next to you.

No ,you pointed the finger at the creator of the thread when you accused him of making a slanted option poll.
If their is hypocrisy here which I believe there is ,[or possibly unintentional double standards ,] it can be laid at your door, which was why I posted your earlier thread, which BTW I wasn't looking for but came across it whilst looking for earlier Carnera posts. This thread could have been worded better but I see no intentional slant by the OP in its options.
