Guys, a robbery is when someone unjustly steals something from someone else. Tonight, Kovalev outboxed Ward, and they took his titles from him.

Robbery doesn't depend on number of rounds. It just means the guy who deserved to win lost.

Did you specify in the ban bet thread that the bet is off if the decision is contoversial?

Perez, Delarosa, and Kov got screwed. I expected more from Ward, the comeback was stuff of legends, but it wasn't enough. The clinching and tackling was horrendous. I'm embarrassed for American boxing atm. I hope Crawford, Gomez, Spence, Thurman, anybody, step up to the plate please!!!

I say f**king have the rematch in Russia with ALL Russian judges!! What's fair is fair right?! To be honest there is a good chance Kovalev wont need judges in the rematch though. He'll knock the sh*t out of Ward and end him midway through imo. And by the time the rematch rolls around next year... Putin and Trump will be golfing buddies so it's all good! MAKE BOXING GREAT AGAIN!! And be fare and make Ward fight through the same disadvantage as Sergey had to. F**king Ward didn't deserve that decision. End of story

So, if you don't agree with the decision in a close fight, its automatically a robbery? Admitting that the fight was close (which it definitely was) kinda disqualifies it from the robbery discussion.

he also landed twice as many head shots

chins opinion means a lot here, because he is an american who in the past has been accused of being very bias towards americans, if he says kovalev won, it means something

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Nothing like those tears. This is almost as good as Manny/Mayweather. At least for y'all there's a rematch clause, and Ward will continue what he did from round 4/5 on.

114-113 is a CLOSE FIGHT, not a robbery.

    Lol new to boxing?

Kovalev also missed more, wayyyyyyyyyyy more than Ward. Fights are scored on a round to round basis, so the KD point was given. Ward won all aspects of the fight from the 5th round on, with a tossup in the 10th. Kov was gassing, holding, and getting torn up by body shots. That's how you have the proper (IMO) score of 114-113.

Not a robbery. Close fight, either guy winning or a draw are all acceptable results.

I had it 115-112 Kovelav but many close rounds that could've gone either way so wouldn't call it a robbery.

    They're all bought.

You don't get to work at that level in Vegas unless you've already proved yourself as reliable in the past.

I had to laugh when Lederman was giving us a rundown on the relability and experience of the judges involved. I think it was Kellerman who pulled him up about it later on after the fight.

Close fight, to be fair, and close fights almost always go to the home fighter. No real surprise for any of us, i'm sure.
