The only thing about this fight is the weight which is a little different. I still think Margarito has the size edge even though Cotto is a better fighter. I still pick the size. Cotto always gets into a brawl because I don't think he will have a choice.

 

Cotto tko, im banking on margarito's eye not holding up.

 

I think Margarito wins. Not sure how, but likely late stoppage.

Eye has to hold up, of course. But I think it will.

From the start the size difference will be very apparent @ 154lbs.

Cotto winning the earlier rounds with Margarito coming on strong late in the fight. Cotto digs deep enough to pull out the MD by a round or two. I really want him to put a beating on Margarito and punch that **** eating grin off is face though. That would be a perfect start to my night

 

Yeah same here, Slugger! But I think some of these guys are underestimating Margo's skills too! If Cotto runs a LOT I think Margarito might even win a close decision. He could win that way too I say but a lot of people think I'm crazy for thinking that.

Was it not Arum who said Margaritos eye is stronger now then it was before. Might be true.

Yes, because logically you would think that after getting severely f*cked up, one's eye would get stronger.

What is it that will cause trouble? The eye socked? Might be stronger now if they reinforced it. The skin might easier cut up/swell now. Who nows.

What I wonder about concerning the eye is not so much if the eye is going to fall apart or not.

But since he has cataract surgery can he still see as well. Can he still sense movement as well and see the punches coming. Everyone has a dominant eye and if that happens to be the right eye for Margarito and he cant see the punches coming so well anymore. Then he will be in trouble, Cotto will land a lot of clean punches and Margarito might not brace himself for it.

 

I'm making the same choice I made for the first fight Cotto by UD. Margarito isn't the same fighter I don't think he has it in him to walk through Cotto's shots to stop him
