Eddie Chambers, Byrd, Larry Donald, Greg Page would all beat him.

Everyone but Tua...Lol looking at the poll options he stands out sort of like which one does not belong.

Yeah, I feel like we probably had a Tua discussion shortly before I made that thread, and I couldn't resist adding him.

How do you see Tua-Dempsey unfolding?

Just out of curiosity, could you tell me your opinion about David Tua and his career?

Inconsistent performer, huge underachiever. Seemed like he had some kind of psychological or motivational problems that dulled his aggression in some fights and really hurt his career. I don't think his weaknesses would be much of an issue against a wild, aggressive little heavyweight like Dempsey though, for stylistic reasons. At his best, I think he would take Dempsey's power a whole lot better than Dempsey would take his.

Do you think that the considerable weight gain in his career helped him or hurt him? I'm not trying to make any other point here...
When I saw him coming up I thought he had a shot. But I think he threw it away by becoming so big that he couldn't move, lost all flexibility.

I am not very big on either one of them, although Dempsey is historically greater I guess. I don’t see Dempsey KO’ing Tua or would say the chance is slim...I could see Tua stopping Dempsey long before I imagine Dempsey stopping Tua. I guess a Dempsey decision would be my pick, but I don’t really feel strongly enough about it to be more specific

You're probably right—I need to go back and watch the film some more. He certainly looked like a better fighter on the way up (better head movement and more explosive on his feet). I'm just not sure how much of the fall-off was due to physical factors and how much of it was mental. I definitely don't think he had any business going any higher than 225 or whatever he weighed against Ibeabuchi.
