I think that this is the biggest problem with guys o this site. You cant honestly expect a fighter...ANY fighter to fight big fight after big fight like that. No one does. For what ever reason alot of guy expect just that. I would be happy with Kessler if he fought two of those guys in his next 6 fights.
Nothing wrong with fighting less often but fighting better opponents. Twice a year against top notch guys would be great.
I see your point, but what I highlighted is exactly 2/3 of the boards opinion of Miranda. I mean he did get KO'd by the sloppy, over rated, slow, and predictable Pavlik, so even calling him half a somebody would be an upgrade by the standards of the board.:deal
True, but it does seem like more people are coming around, especially after Kessler punked out of a tough fight against Miranda. I like Pavlik, he's tough, got a ton of heart, enertaining, very powerful, and a great workrate for his typre of fighting style, what's not to like? He even has respectful personality, that seems to still live a very modest life, even though he's a millionare now. Pavlik aint the most skilled fighter out there, but he always does come to fight, and 9 times out of 10 provides us all with a big knockout, he's certainly a rare find, as far as a fighter goes.
:good You just jumped a mile up my favorite posters list. (not that you cared ) Just saying great post friend.
:good Same here, I'm not as big of fan of Pavlik as you are probably, but he is one of my favorite fighters, I always seem to be big fans of guys with big hearts, heavy punches, and a tough all around fighters, Pavlik definitely fits that bill. I just wonder who he plans on fighting next? I guess Winky, though I would rather see him in the ring with Calzaghe or even Dawson, wins over these guys would convince alot of people of how good we already know he is.
Yup. Pavlik pulled me back in, I had wondered off into casual fan land after Lennox retired. But I caught Pavlik, and he's only about 1 1/2 hour drive to Youngstown, been there and all that, and I was hooked again. Found ESB trying to find out more about him on the internet, and now I'm back to hardcore and posting my ass off on ESB! Thanks to Pavlik!:good
Yeah, the thing about the guy that makes him so popular, he seems so down to earth, a guy you can drink a couple with at the bar, unlike someone like Mayweather who probably wants nothing to do with his fans, and stays up in the VIP area. I live in Pittsburgh Pa, Youngstown is not too far away, maybe 2 hours, and people there are alot similar to where I live. I hope Pavlik continues kicking ass, we need more fighters like him in Boxing.:good
Fight Miranda in May. Mundine also fights soliman in May. Both meet for Mundine - Kessler 2 in Mid-September.(for the WBA belt) Then fight Pavlik in late December
I think he should stop ****ing other people around. He's already let down Miranda now he's trying to scupper Mundine's fight.
I know he gets no love around here, but could imagine being in Solimon's shoes at this point. Done his time on the Contender and what not, in line for a nice fight and some $$. I'm sure just like any other human being he has bills to pay and a family to provide for, and now they're trying to screw him out of a fight I'd bet he's already in training for.
