As far as I know, the WBA has not decided anything yet, a statement is expected later in the comming weeks!
Wishful thinking to say the least. I d be very surprised if the WBA not only force Mundine to fight Kessler instead of Soliman, but force him to do it in May. They'll give him at least 6 months notice. Palle has basically jeopardized Kessler's chances with the US tv company s that were interested for a very small chance that they'd be fighting Mundine around the time he was supposed to be fighting Miranda. Dumb management, and Palle deserves to have his credentials come under question.
The problem with the big US exposure, is that the SMW division is dominated by people from outside of America! If Kessler want to fight the best competition the US is not the way to go! Money and titles are to be gained elsewhere! But i have no doubt that Kessler will be fighting in the US. within a year and a half!
Ive previously been discussing that this actually would be a very good (the best) move - to get hold of the WBA belt before summer and the take on Taylor or somebody like that this fall/winter. But as things are turning out this strategy is a failure.
Taylor and Miranda have moved up and now it seems Pavlik will soon. I know, all over rated bums, even though Pavlik is rated 9 p4p by The Ring. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56936
I don´t see them as bums! But at the moment they are not in the top 5 at SMW. And before they beat anyone in the top five they are nothing but challengers!
Well then, maybe he really doesn't want to get into the ring with someone that can hit as hard as Miranda? :yep
Miranda needs some more boxing skills to be a worldbeater. But of course everybody with genuine power is to be respected!
