Those are good points in regards to Zhang's hype which I agree is a bit too much at times although I rate him (quite if not too) highly but I am backing Haye points still against Zhang.

We will certainly find out more when Zhang and Parker get it on, looking forward to it. My money is on Zhang for that match up.

I will back the far more proven fighter unless there's very, very good reason to think otherwise... Parker isn't a plodder who offers up his chin and has just won a very solid 12-0 shutout against a dangerous (if limited) fighter in Wilder (who I know you think is shot - I don't, I think he's just nowhere near as good as his hype, and his resume does nothing to suggest otherwise)

Zhang all day lol, by stoppage too. I doubt Haye would ever take this fight in the first place.

Haye was dropped by a SMW and stopped by a LHW. His heavyweight career was carefully manufactured, and the only reason that he was not stopped by Wlad is that Wlad was also uber-cautious of his chin and they agreed to do a dance.

I respect Haye for what he did accomplish but I think one straight left from nowhere from the big Chinese puncher and its get the smelling salts and call an ambulance.

Haye would never fight a guy as dangerous as Zhang.

It's a fantasy fight even as a fantasy fight.

Neither one would get the stoppage win despite both being hitters. Haye would absolutely stink up the joint and it would end up being like a split decision win for Zhang from Haye refusing to engage.

Really tough one to call, I rate Zhang’s wins over Joyce (and arguable win over Hrgovic) higher than Haye’s wins over Chisora and Valuev. Haye was explosive and his movement would have caused Zhang a lot of trouble. Zhang can whack and I don’t think Haye’s chin would have been able to withstand it had he been hit clean. I’m on the fence in this one.

This "Basic fighter" destroy Parker who just outclassed Wilder who in very many people opinion Play in different league with Fury.

Some people already put Joe in top 3.

Imo Zhang lost with Hrgovic by a little bit Filip is very underrated just because his carrer sucks.
But that fight show how both guys are strong not bad.

You will see this probably in next Zhilei fight when he desfroy Joseph.

Haye on other hand is overrated in Hw. His best win is probably Dereck Chisora... Harrison, running victory on points vs Walujew, old Ruiz. He done nothing special and never beat someone soo strong and dangerous as Zhang.

Haye was good but at lower weights. Big Bang too good for him and has too good a chin.

The Great Wall collapses on Haye late; 10th round TKO due to de-toe-ification.

If they go at it toe to toe then Haye has no chance.

Prime haye beats all the current heavyweights bar perhaps usyk which would have been one of the greatest cruiserweight dustups of all time I may add.

Haye was a beast at his best, too quick for all this current crop and hits just as hard as any of them.

    On the basis of:

    - Having followed Zhang for years before he fought Hrgovic, and watching him dominate everyone he fought (even in the Forrest draw, he knocked him down 3 times in the opening 3 rounds)
    - Zhang is extremely heavy-handed but isn't just a one-trick pony like Wilder with one punch, he has power in both hands and has always been fundamentally skilled with an Olympic medal to show for it
    - The reasons that I already listed explaining why David Haye is a shithouse
    - Haye may have faced a static giant in Valuev but Zhang is about 1000x more skilled than Valuev (and for my money, Zhang would have been by far the best heavyweight on Haye's resume excluding Wlad)

Most of this forum might be backing Zhang now because he beat Joe Joyce twice but I've been backing Zhang for far longer, I picked him to beat Hrgovic (and in most people's eyes, he did) when the expectation was that Hrgovic would stop him easily. Zhang has always been skilled, since his amateur days, he just didn't have the matchmaking to prove it to the non-believers until the Hrgovic fight.
