I like Jai but I'm not ready to pick him over the Qawi that pushed Holyfield to the brink. I do realize that Qawi vs Holyfield was contested at 190 and not the 200 pound cruiserweight division of today but Qawi was a special fighter and I'm not quite sure how special Jai is just yet. He is very good but I need to see more.
The hype on Opetaia is a little out of control right now. He seems like a good, honest fighter. But, I haven't seen anything that would leave me to believe he could beat the Qawi that battled Holyfield the first time. Too hittable, and, not clever enough for Qawi.
190lbs Qawi, 200lbs Opetaia. Qawi can get low and counter Opetaia over the top, Opetaia doesn’t vary his speed or attacks to a great degree, so Qawi may be able to time his rhythm and attacks, take his own head off centre line on the way in and on the inside, and throw body and over the top and they’ll land, Opeataia often doesn’t keep his head off of the centre line and attacks upright sometimes.
