Yeah, would make for an interesting thread and I don't completely disagree with your philosophy. But I think that sharp punches that snap opponents' heads are qualitatively different than the mugging, mauling types of punches that don't land cleanly. Don't know what the corners told their fighters after the end of round 2, but I would have been far more concerned had I been in Foreman's corner than had I been in Frazier's. And I think the round would have been an easy Frazier round if he'd staggered George with one of those punches.

What's interesting is that Joe showed he could box. If Joe wasn't so war torn and heavy, he possibly could have made things different. He definitely gets credit for changing his style at this point in his career.

Agreed! His use of his boxing skills was surprising and very impressive. Did he train differently for this fight?

Mute points. They fought twice and Frazier was obliterated both times. It's a huge leap of faith to believe he avoids getting obliterated in a third fight no matter the circumstances.

What you have are two posters who are great Frazier fans and cannot accept their man was obliterated twice. There is no objective evidence that he would beat Foreman no matter the circumstances.

It would be great to find interviews and whatnot from before the fight. It's quite evident that Frazier's plan was to evade and pick his shots.
Every once in a while, Frazier would show his boxing abilities during fights. Of course, Joe couldn't help but revert back to his usual style that was his calling card.

Chuvalo himself said he could match Foreman strength wise, he also had an equal bicep size.

Why did I write their was no official score cards released?

You should understand the context of my posts before commenting on them. Not that hard to see the statements in the quote box.

But than again you have demonstrated very little reliable eye sight.

You waste your time replying to a post, but can't waste your time reading the quoted text the post was constructed as a reply to. God damn stupid if you ask me, wasting both our time,

He succumbed to the pressure, but certainly demonstrated a bobbing weaving defense could trouble Foreman but would take more stamina than he could muster at that stage.

Frazier blew it. He spent two years partying and not taking the sport seriously, and thought Foreman was going to be another gimme in his way to another Ali fight. He gave himself no chance in the first fight, whatever chance that might have been.

I said I'd leave if you could prove I had even one lie, which you have failed to do so. Now, let's up the stakes. If you can prove I have made one lie, ONE LIE, I will leave never to return. If you can't prove it then you go for good! I've set the challenge...the ball's in your court.

Perry showed his true colors by defending the biggest liar and troll on this forum. I see through him like he is a ghost now.
