    I counted 30 punches landed by Foreman in round two much more than Frazier plus he was the aggressor. Cosell states the ringside opinion was that Frazier lost the first three rounds.

    You've posted this several times. I've counted at least seven times you posted. Is this really the only argument you have? :lol:

    Boy you're desperate! :lol::lol:

    Why keep posting the same article, I could troll post "Frazier edged round 2" associated press over and over.

    Vanboxing didn't even count that many for Foreman, not even half that and he was counting punches that were clearly missing by a god damn mile.

    I don't care, they probably just liked Foremans aggression over Fraziers pot shotting. Cosell was also telling a story for tv and overeacting to everything from both men, thats what made him famous.

    This is a very good post and probably sums up the debate very well.

    But, it doesn't really matter how many punches a fighter misses with, as long as he lands more punches than the opponent, all other things being equal.

    (ie the one throwing few punches doesn't wobble, or clearly hurt, the other fighter).

    Add to that, who controlled where the fight was taking place and who was the aggressor and, to me, it adds up to Foreman clearly won that round.

    Yes it does matter how many punches, a fighter misses. That says a lot about defense and accuracy.

    Says the guy who detailed second by second about 1/2 the round and gave Foreman about 3 jabs and one power punch. :lol:

    **** young is quoting the official scorecards. Frazier did not win a round.

    With any fight you can find SOMEBODY who gives one or the other fighter specific rounds. You are very disingenuous intimating that your lone AP scorecard mirrors the reality of what the vast majority saw that night.

    Hey idiot.....the official scorecards did not give Frazier a round. This is why I keep posting that quote. The official scorecards are the deciding scorecards. Frazier did not win a round and he was koed viciously before the end of round five and had half a dozen teeth knocked out in the process. What a sucessful night he had! LOLOLOLOL

    I thought Foreman won round 2.

    But intrigued by this claim of six of Frazier's teeth being knocked out. This is interesting as it would represent one of the more severe one-punch boxing injuries i've heard of. Is it documented anywhere?

    Its something I very clearly remember from that time. As mentioned if you can find a very clear film of the bout you can actually see his teeth shimmer in the lights as they flew from Joes mouth from that final right hand blow. Need to watch in slow motion obviously.

    The crowd were cheering every punch Frazier threw ,whether they landed or not . I don't need the three judges ,I have my eyes to tell me who won what, and unlike them I can run and
    re-run the fight at my leisure,including slow-mo.
