Never thought I had a favourite boxer, but watching Frazier lose hurts me more than any other fighter . Rip Joe.

If some one throws 1000 punches, and lands 50, and I throw 40 and land them all, who wins then?

If the fighter who lands more punches is also the aggressor he wins the round. Aggressiveness plus landing more punches are top criteria. Assuming no knockdowns or power punches that visibly stagger. Foreman won the round and the vast majority so far agree.

What I'm saying, and you know that it's true, is that there's a vast difference between what you posted above, and what I posted in terms of punches landed.

Now whether I thought one or two landed and you thought they never, is immaterial.

But that aside there's a vast difference between what you wrote above, and what I wrote in terms of the breakdown of the round. When I posted the breakdown, you more or less agreed with most of it, but it's still vastly different than the drivel you initially posted, which by your accounts is 3 Foreman jabs landing and 1 power punch over the course of 2/3's of the round.

As for this post being a continuation of another post, I never saw that post, so can you please reference this prior post for me so I can accurately assess what you belief transpired in that round.

and of course it was vastly different, you have Frazier winning the round and I have Foreman winning the round, that in of itself, is different enough.

If they are the same level of power, the guy who landed 50 beats the guy who landed 40. Boxing isn't a contest of accuracy it's a contest of effective aggression and all things being equal the guy who lands more wins.

What if instead of the second guy landing 40 it was 20, does he in your mind still win the round because he landed 100% of the punches he threw?

What if he only threw one and landed, still has a 100% accuracy rate, so does he win the round under your criteria?

Where defense matters is if that second guy threw 120 and landed 60, then only 50% of his punches landed, but that was still more than the guy who threw 1,000 and landed only 50. But defense alone doesn't win fights.

Very hard not to root for a guy as gutsy and decent as Mr Frazier.:good

I've come second a few times ,that's how it goes with us ordinary guys, but I'm certain I would not have gone back for more against Foreman, one beat down would have been more than sufficient for me.
    Frazier had very big b*lls.

You call my post drivel but author this confused mess.

What the hell are you even going about?

You said my observations were vastly different on the side by side post from my original post, but I copied and pasted them from my own post, they didn't change, end of the ****ing story.

It was literally the post before it..

Whatever, I'm done with this. Bottom line is I, and most others, thought Foreman won the 2nd round, you and couple of others disagree.

    That's boxing.

The 4th round, was in my opinion, a closer call as to who won that round.

Of course you are done, cause you know your wrong.

Just feined confusion because you can't find those big uppercuts and combos you said were landing.

It was a competitive round, shaded by the big guy imo. not really something to get antsy about imo.

Not really interested in whether or not Frazier managed to win a round off Foreman. He got battered. Just as he did first time round. Just as he always would do.

Foreman was just a bad matchup for Frazier.

Prime for prime Frazier > Ali > Foreman > Frazier

That's true and it's what matters, but it isn't the title of the thread.

Foreman is so great, people will debate him losing one round to prove that his brutally beaten foe had a chance!

except for Prime Frazier > Prime Ali. Post exhile Ali was not the best version.
