Tubbs and Biggs were slick fighters. You could also argue Holyfield was a slick fighter as well.

Briedis took Usyk to absolute hell. I can't imagine what 1992 Bowe would have done to this 'prime' Usyk you are talking about 'years' ago. Although I'd say Usyk's best career performance was quite recently in both AJ fights whom Bowe would have taken care of AJ inside 3 rounds.

In regards to EE fighters in the amateurs, All the fighters Riddick Bowe beat in the Olympic stages before that disgusting referee decision in the final were all EE fighters he beat.

My question actually was who would win between 1992 Bowe and Usyk. Not 1996 Bowe who already had brain damage suffered in sparring, even before going into the Golota fights.

Has Usyk really fought a fighter anything like 1992 Riddick Bowe? I wonder what would happen in the first body shot Bowe lands on Usyk.

Uysk on points. His movement, ring IQ would be the difference. Yes Bowe beat Evander twice but Evander all too often abandoned his boxing and slugged it out with the bigger Bowe. Usyk would not do that and would have the discipline to stick to boxing and Bowe could definitely be out boxed at times as he didn't have good movement and was easy to hit.

None of them were slick elusive fast movers with great footwork like Usyk. That's the kind of slickness I'm talking about and a southpaw to boot

Er. Usyk fought the wrong fight against Briedis. He has more than one style and he obviously did not box and move like he would against Bowe. FTR, he sacked his trainer after that fight and he has gone through like 5 different trainers in his first 16 fights IIRC which has been detrimental to him IMO. He could've made that fight much easier and Briedis is an excellent fighter who is strong in almost all departments.

Go watch the WSB Usyk against SHW giants and tell me he wasn't noticeably faster, with quicker reaction times and reflexes, sharper counter punches etc. I like the Bashir trained Usyk.

Bowe had mixed success against the Soviet school in the amateurs and got absolutely battered twice the only time he fought one from the EE Soviet school in the pros when he was just 29 years of age. I don't believe the excuse about Bowe being shot. Had Usyk lost a close decision at that age he would be crucified for it.

Bowe has never fought anyone like Usyk either. A slick, fast super skilled high ring IQ elusive southpaw who when he doesn't want to get hit is incredibly difficult to pin down and even when you do catch him with a bomb has an iron chin.

I'm not saying Bowe wasn't a hell of a fighter but simply that Usyk posseses the attributes and skills which is the antidote for what those big slow or slower/slower feet giants bring and in his physical prime he was noticeably faster and sharper all round. He UDs Bowe.

Bowe liked his borderline shots if it's in America Bowe probably KO's Usyk with a borderline low blow.

But in all seriousness there's a few pluses for both men Bowe did seem to have some issues with boxers who fought him on the outside. But Bowe would be alot more aggressive than Joshua and engage Usyk more who has shown some vulnerability to body shots and pressure fighters.

I think Bowe is a bit overrated and Usyk hasn't totally convinced me at Heavyweight yet, i'll probably side with Bowe especially if it's in America which it mostly likely would be.

Usyk would have pitched a near shutout and then lost on the cards 120-108

Usyk isn't exactly slick. He's got good defense but to say Bowe would get schooled is a huge stretch. Joshua ran Usyk close in the rematch and Joshua is not as fluid as Bowe.

There's literally 0 evidence to say Usyk is better than Holyfield but you see more and more weirdos getting comfortable with throwing that out like it's fact. Strange. What the hell has Usyk done to make him better than Holyfield? Holyfield's competition was so much better.

I guess beating Aj, limited Dubois and having tough fights with old washed chisora and LWH Bellew is the benchmark now?

Usyk was a brilliant cruiserweight and might be the best HW on the planet. But I Don't see a guy that could beat a prime Holyfield/Bowe

He is slick and Bowe would get taken to slick school as in he wouldn't be able to deal with the speed, movement and elusiveness and slickness.

AJ did not run Usyk close in the rematch. He got comprehensively beaten again. 8-4 at absolute best for AJ

Pointing out that you are wrong about nobody thinking Usyk is better than Holyfield.

Joshua is bigger, more powerful and technically better than Bowe. He's better at landing the punches that count. Granted Bowe has more heart and is more fluid but he's also less accurate and easier to hit. I see nothing about him that poses an insurmountable challenge for Usyk.

You forgot to mention Holyfields blatant head butts. Evan Fields was well schooled in the way of the third fist.

Edit: Saw it in your third post. Keep calm & carry on.
