Lol dude Tyson was afraid of the old Foreman. Larry Holmes ducked Foreman when George called him out in the 70's. Vitali? Who did Vitali beat in his career? A washed up Ross Purrity, as washed up Corrie Sanders, and a washed up Shannon Briggs? Corrie Sanders 38, couldn't take a punch and almost knocked Vitali out. George Foreman was a bigger puncher, has a better chin and would of kept putting pressure on Vitali and stopped him.

    Chuck Wepner
    Jack O'Halloran
    George Chuvalo
    Boone Kirkman
    Gregorio Peralta twice
    Joe Frazier twice
    Ken Norton
    Ron Lyle
    Scott LeDoux
    John Dino Dennis
    Jimmy Young.
    Muhammad Ali

Each of these guys were rated in the top 10 at various points times in their careers

    Bert Cooper
    Adilson Rodriguez
    Alex Stewart
    Tommy Morrison
    Shannon Briggs
    Lou Savarase
    Alex Schulz
    Michael Moorer
    Evander Holyfield
    Pierre Coetzer
    Gerry Cooney
    Dwight Qawi

Each of these guys were ranked in the top 10 at various times in their careers. Yeah but Foreman didn't fight or beat anybody besides Joe Frazier and Ken Norton. This is why I call most of you casual fans. Clearly clueless and will only repeat something if you hear somebody else say it first. Gene Tunney wasn't even a heavyweight. He was a 170 pound guy for the most part. Jack Dempsey was 190. Rocky Marciano was 180. Jack Johnson was 190. Why would any real boxing fan think a cruiserweight could beat Foreman? Also only a casual fan will say Foreman had poor stamina. Foreman got tired in the Ali fight and that is it. If Foreman has poor stamina then woudln't that mean Wladimir Klistchko has poor stamina for gassing out against Ross Purritty and Lamon Brewster? Ali was knocked down by one punch from 190 pound Henry Cooper so I guess that means Ali had a glass chin and every 190 pound fighter could do the same right?

Foreman was unskilled right? Then why didn't guys like Ernie Shavers win the title with just his power? Various other boxers since Foreman turned pro had huge power. Guys like David Tua so why didn't he win the title? Hell even a guy like Tye Fields had huge power. He knocked out various guys that Deontay Wilder fought and he knocked them out first and easier. There was no way Foreman was going to win the title during the time he fought with just power. Also Foreman is slow? Then what is Anthony Joshua? What is Wladimir Klistchko and Vitali K? Foreman committed with all of his punches he knew he could take a punch. AJ, Wlad, and Vitali can't take a punch. But their hand speed is the same as Foreman's if not slower. There is no 6'3 230 pound heavyweight who throws his punches with power that will throw their punches punches like Mike Tyson.

As I stated and will state again. Most of you people are clueless casual fans. Either a bunch of old guys who still think 170 pound heavyweights like Marciano and Tunney could compete against modern sized heavyweights or a bunch of young casual fans who believe what you are watching now is better than what happened in the past. Go find a new sport to follow. Casual fans like you people are ruining boxing.

You're a clown, you claim Ali and Young were BACKING FOREMAN UP. When you make a statement like that, it means those fighters were bossing the fight. They were forcing their foe to back up more then they were. This couldn't be further from the truth. What's worse, you just said you watched those fights, and are still sticking by your stance LOL. It's comical, and you've already been cornered on the subject by others. Now it's changed to, well... they knocked him down... so yeah... they knocked him down. Which is what I thought you were going with, I called pages ago, and sure enough you were. Then you come up with, well, Ali did briefly back him up twice LOL. Even though he got backed up 100 times more, but those two times where Foreman slightly backs up, only to start forward again were reason enough for you to go... ALI AND YOUNG BACKED FOREMAN UP!!!!!! Boxing may not be your thing man

Today I learned that neither Joe Frazier nor Ken Norton were top quality boxers.

Ray hit Marvin hard and fast enough to occasionally stop Marvin in his tracks. https://i.imgur.com/sR4AgvO.mp4
I suspect this is what @RulesMakeItInteresting would define as backing a guy up. Looks like a wobble to me. Weather actually being hurt, or just getting knocked off balance by solid punching.

Hagler was stunned I think, but Hagler was just the type of psycho to charge forward when stunned. It's part of what makes him great.

He didn`t hit him hard, Marvin just lost his footing, he wasn`t stunned at all, the punch that KO`d 'boy' Green at 147 was far harder than any of these arm punches, Ray didn`t put his full weight into these shots.

Is Green the one that received that eeeevilll left hook in that fight before the Holmes defense? If it was, WOW what a SHOT!

And yeah, Ray was like Holmes and Ali in that he changed up the velocity of his shots in a strikingly effective way. I think that's what the amateurs were about, mostly just landing shots for points. It

was also a great way to confuse the opponent , and served another positive in keeping him from getting set.

    I could be wrong.

I just watched the last round of the Peralta fight and Spinks would have finished the tired Foreman in that condition, Tyson looked far fresher in any 10th round he ever fought aside from the Douglas fight and Buster also would have stopped this tired, flagging George, Vitali would have knocked him out on this form too, Tony Tucker was far more impressive in his 10th round v Tyson and took harder shots than George was landing at the end v Peralta, I feel Tucker would have taken George`s shots better than Norton did based on this fight, though it was not Foreman at his best at all, he was awful.

Ali was a big hero to Young (but that was probably obvious in his style).
