I bet Ruddock, punch for punch, hit about as hard as Foreman. Ruddock was a huge guy who got full balance and leverage into his shots. Foreman stood out in his times because he an anomaly. There just weren't that many guys of his dimensions who were athletic enough to be fluid in their punching. By Ruddock's time, there were plenty of 6-3, 220 guys around who could throw a punch with some degree of balance (not that they were all in George's league but reasonably close).

And Tyson had an iron jaw. He took HUGE flush shots from Bruno, Ruddock, even Bonecrusher. All those you mentioned above had to fight him to a standstill and land punches in bunches to take him out. If anything, Foreman's propensity to gas and get caught a la Ali, Lyle and Young, is the greater factor in this match-up.

The bottomline is that Foreman wasn't exactly a quick and straight puncher. Guys could get inside his arc. The problem was not getting pushed around by George and set up for his big swings.
