Go on Maury Povitch, you and about 3-5 of the Klit-ites here on ESB.....James Toney, when it comes to Widdowmakker......"You ARE the FATHER!!!!" (Then Widdow runs to the back hallway crying and has a meltdown as James and Maury try to calm him down)
In that setting... wouldn't I be on the big screen, sucking my thumb and completely unknowing of the situation... as my mother and James Toney argue over whether or not he is the father?:huh That's usually how it works. Anyways... I would be cool with that. My dad wasn't really around that much, and died in Atlanta due to Cancer a couple years ago.
he's fought the best opposition he was capable of (while maybe passing a few guys on to his brother), his division just been garbage...
In his last 10 fights Wlad has.... handed 4 fighters their first professional loss knocked out 4 fighters that have never been knocked out before avenged a loss went 2-0 in rematches with both wins by KO defeated 2 reigning champions knocked out 2 former champions came off the canvas in two fights to win remained undefeated 'nuff said!!
Agreed, plus Williamson, Nicholson, Sanders (though losing, but the intent was there) and of course Rahman.
What do they have to do with anything? The point is that he isn't "building his legacy on shells of old fighters". Everyone fights fighters who are considered old now and then... but his legacy sure as hell isn't built around it. You act like those are his biggest wins. Also, mentioning Rahman is sort of a joke to do, considering that Wlad was scheduled to face the young, undefeated Povetkin, who pulled out with an injury. Is it Wlad's fault that he had to fight the next highest available contender (Rahman) in order to fulfill his mandatory defense? Besides that.. it's hilarious how "bad" it became to beat Hasim Rahman as soon as Klitschko did it. The same "Rahman" who all of the haters were saying Vitali was scared to death of all the way up until Wlad signed on to fight him. Anyways, the point stands rather clear. Wlad has NOT built his legacy by feeding off the shells of old fighters. He has beat the Undefeated Castillo coming off an impressive win over Michael Moorer... the undefeated Sam Peter, the Ring Mag #1 Heavyweight and IBF Champ Chris Byrd (both times, so you can't claim he feasted on a shell of Chris Byrd. He dominated him twice).... The undefeated Calvin Brock, the undefeated WBO Champion Ibragimov. He also beat Monte Barrett when he was young, in his prime. He beat Jameel McCline at his peak. Tony Thompson at his peak.... and was already scheduled to fight the undefeated Povetkin. He is currently trying to set up 3 fights in a row against the Undefeated Povetkin, the undefeated Arreola, and the new sensation David Haye.... This **** is absurd. No Heavyweight has been on a mission to clean out all top contenders and undefeated fighters like this since Larry Holmes. The stats & records don't lie.
