Perhaps if you had designed the poll in far less of a biased and distorted manner, the outcome might have been a bit different. Additionally, if you had the ability to hold your own in debate on the other thread, this pole might not have been necessary.
I spanked you in the debate. Which is why I started this thread. So the entire forum could let you know. And they have... look at the results.
No, you got made to look a **** in the other thread and ran off to make a poll so all the Klit-ites could back you up. Sad, pathetic excuse for a man.
Yeah... as long as you guys keep telling yourselves that, you might actually believe it one day.:thumbsup
I have to agree with the poster who called Wladimir Klitschko's competition old. If nothing else, they are most assuradley mediocre. I know he fought a few guys like Brock and Peter who were undefeated and fairly young, but what we have to look at is the norm, meaning the majority. Most of the men that he fought were not of that description. Those averages that Magoo put up showed a candid point. How many other champions, or men who claim to be lineal champions have fought an older or more mediocre list than that? Yeah I can see Widowmakers point that some of them had better credentials than their age or record suggested, but common. Anyone who tries to hype up Mcline, Byrd, Botha, Nicholson, Austin, or Ibragimov as top tier fighters is sadly blinded.
Not really. Just listing his last six opponents (which have made up some of the best of his resume), I see: Peter, who is obviously not old, Byrd, who is old, but was already a name fighter in the 90s, Brock, who was 31, had just shown up on the scene and was undefeated, Austin, who was admittedly an old fellow and an easy mark opponents, Brewster, who was old-ish but not a guy who "couldn't make a name for himself in the '90s," rather just got a late start, and Ibragimov, who, again, is fairly old, but just got a late start in the pros. I think this list actually highlights the pretty weak ground on which your argument sits. Hardly anyone considers Nicholson or Botha among Wlad's best wins, and Mercer is borderline. Byrd was old the second time they fought, but was relatively young and in his prime for their first match, in which Wlad also brutalized him. The fact is, Wlad ducks no one, frequently fights opponents when they are high-ranking and coming off major wins, and consistently wipes them out in dominant fashion. I'm not trying to hype his resume up as being something legendary or historically great; most great champions' resumes make Wlad's look practically like a series of hobos. But Wlad is not "feasting on shells of older fighters"- he's beating contenders (albeit far-from-great ones) while they are at or near the top of their games, ducking no one and dominating the division.
Great work, WiDDoW_MaKeR! :good Some people seem to hate Wlad no matter what he does or who he defeats, and such people like Mr. McGoo will come up with anything - including distorting the facts - in order to discredit him. The results of the poll speak for themselves! :thumbsup
It doesn't matter if it it ture or not with Klitschko. Some posters like Fighting Weight, Suge White, Swedone, and See Me Flow HATE WLAD. Their votes are very predictable. They would vote agaisnt Wlad if he were up against a strawweight.
Just curios as to where you got the facts about bigger men developing later? Vlad is the best at this time, but Peter has a very good chance at KO'ing Vlad. Vitaly at this time should be a non-factor ( how long has he been absent from the ring?).. He should have no opportunity to fight for a belt till he at least beats a top 10 contender. Before anything is said about Big Brother deserving a shot, yes he may deserve a shot if he left the ring as a champ but he did not.
Let's not forget that Vlad won the gold medal at age 20!!!!!!! McCline was at his peak when Vlad easily outboxed and stopped him. McCline beat the crap out of Peter as an lesser thought of opponent, by far. Vlad beat Byrd two times easily. Vlad was the first to stop Axel Schultz! Schultz beat the crap out of Foreman, Foreman could not hurt Schultz, gave up hit title rather than give Schultz a rematch. Derrick Jefferson was known as a 6 foot 6 inch knockout artist, Vlad put his away without any problem. Austin was owned by Don King and made the mandatory by the IBF, so Vlad stopped him easily. Brock, etc., Vlad is the very best. Anyone who knows any thing about boxing can see how good his technique is, but the Klitschko haters hate Vlad to the extreme because he keeps on defeating all "their" heroes! Peter will be defeated again by a Klitschko, no doubt about it.
I have always found it puzzling that many fans perceive Klitschko as someone who has never fought a ranked fighter...someone who owes his high status only to his supposedly being "overprotected." Fans who think that way, for example, cite Fabio Moli as an example of the best fighters Vlad has built his resume on. Very, very interesting...
