PolSat: Michał Cieślak vs. Yuri Grigorievich Kashinsky & Nikodem Jeżewski vs. Vladimir Řezníček RBR

Jeżewski moving and jabbing off the hip. Jeżewski scoring accurately between the wrists of Řezníček, who is just frozen in place holding up a loose guard while being turned in the middle of the ring.

10-9 Jeżewski, not much happening

 

Former middleweight contender Grzegorz "Super G" Proksa, performing unofficial scoring duties for PolSat, has it 10-9 Jeżewski.

 

A nice fiery exchange 2/3 of the way into round two, with Jeżewski landing a left hook on the bottom of the jaw but taking a wide looping right from Řezníček squaring up and slugging with him. The final minute goes back to a quieter pace, Jeżewski tracing his way around the ring jabbing up at Řezníček.

20-18 Jeżewski

 

Řezníček has only been stopped once, also versus a Polish fighter (albeit one based in Canada) - but Ryan "The Bruiser" Rozicki has a 13-0 record with thirteen stoppages. Jeżewski's stands at 19-1-1 (9). Decent chance were going 8 barring a cut or a stray bomb somebody just completely fails to see coming.

 

Three zip Jeżewski.

The big Czech lug not exactly being outclassed...just outworked, content to lean back with his feet cemented and paw at Jeżewski with jabs and occasionally bowl in underhanded rights on the body.

 

Proksa has it 30-27 for his fellow Polska.

 

40-36 sayeth me 'n' Super G.

 

50-45 but Řezníček isn't far off making some of these rounds almost even. When he attacks the body he paralyzes Jeżewski momentarily. Řezníček's problem is that he lets Jeżewski keep 'having a turn' without smothering or countering, and so Jeżewski continues to rain jabs and rights on the guard, with some bursting through as Řezníček amateurishly flinches and jerks his face away while loosening his guard, and even the ones fully blocked catching the judges' eyes more than Řezníček's less flashy thumps downstairs.

 

On this form I can't see Nikodem having a prayer in that domestic grudge match rematch with the man in the main event. Řezníček is throw with poor timing and killer instinct and reticent to engage but when he does he can touch Jeżewski easily.

 

Proksa has it 60-54, and that ain't him being a homer - just this Czech opponent being exactly the shiftless leather-averse stooge they probably scouted him as.

 

They swap power-slapping arm-punch flurries in the middle of the seventh, mostly hitting each other's chest and neck, action just starting to heat up a bit when both men cool off by mutual assent. Neither has much dog in him today, it seems. Back to cautiously jabbing from distance.

70-63 Jeżewski

 

Jeżewski showing off his ambidextrousness in the last frame, popping authoritative right jabs into Řezníček's face...and yeah, his effectiveness increases marginally but he already had this well in control so not sure the switch-hitting was strategically necessary. More of just a flaunt. He abandons it and returns to his orthodox stance in less than a minute.
