Kosut looks like your daughter's drug-dealer boyfriend in your nightmares.

Kosut is 5-0 with 2 kayos, and Šach is 5-4-1, zero kayos.

They're fighting in the 81kg weight class. Roughly equivalent of light heavyweight.

    Five three-minute rounds.

Scrappy little Czech won the second, bringing it against the bigger man, staying in his chest and just punching up every chance he gets, with low-kicks on the shin from mid-range.

    19-19.

Kosut rocked by a missile 1-2 from below, kneed in the gut, flurried upon with power shots - DOWN! Possibly...out? Nope, up at the count of eight. THEN HAMMERED BY A RIGHT HAND A MOMENT LATER, with Šach ignoring a bloody nose to keep slamming his fists upward, walking through Kosut's defensive jabs. Kosut down again, eyes crossed, but manages to somehow beat the count again. More pummeling, and stopped on his feet.

    TKO3!!

Alright, that, ironically enough, was a very good warm-up for the main event. The previous bouts, under regular boxing rules? Weren't.

Kuzakhmedov, a 6-0-2 Ukrainian, has feasted on mostly Belarusians (5 of his wins and both draws against them), knocking out the one Pole he fought.

Chudecki, a southpaw fighting tonight not just on native soil but in his own hometown, is nine years older but to date has faced (and defeated) better opposition, going 11-3-2 overall...so don't sleep on him...

    Round 1

Kuzakhmedov is circling wide and keeping his elbow loose, greasing the hinge as he folds & extends it, mostly feinting, sometimes lightly jabbing down & out at Chudecki. The southpaw keeps stalking, putting out a lulling slow right jab to creep in and then abruptly dives under the jab and lands a left hand lead up top. Chudecki able to repeat this pattern a few times before Kuzakhmedov spends the rest of the round just circling beyond his range, being very negative.

    10-9 Chudecki

    Round 2

Chudecki really nailing Kuzakhmedov with that left hand up top, consistently. Lots of clinching & spinning by Kuzakhmedov, dragging Chudecki around the ring in a waltz as he desperately clings to him. When the ref separates them it becomes a chess match between the long Kuzakhmedov left jab and the sneaky right hook that Chudecki twirls around it like a spaghetti on a fork. Kuzakhmedov circles away, nearly backing himself into a corner as Chudecki blasts away from the hip with that big left hand on a fireman's-ladder incline.

    10-9 Chudecki

    20-18 Chudecki

    Round 3

Chudecki going all out for the KO, throwing big left hands from behind the left buttock, putting enough arc on them for Kuzakhmedov to see them coming a mile away but thrown with sufficient force and follow-through to reach Kuzakhmedov even as he skips in reverse across the ring. Kuzakhmedov darts in and out landing jabs and 1-2s, very skittish, clinching if Chudecki happens to duck the straight punches and deliver a headbutt into his stomach (as he often does, when the 1-2s don't graze him). Chudecki taking some low swipes on the belt line with the right hook diving in.

    10-9 Chudecki, a bit closer

    30-27 Chudecki

    Round 4

Kuzakhmedov is staying off-center, making Chudecki lunge and then executing matador turns while jabbing into his gloves. Neither landing. Chudecki gets tossed away by a double-fisted shove, and spins into the ropes. Kuzakhmedov turns around to blow a snot rocket up in the air, gross. Time in. Kuzakhmedov is starting to put 1-2-3s together stepping in and trading with Chudecki. Still a few big left hands banging home up top for Chudecki, but his body shots are now entirely missing as Kuzakhmedov sucks in his gut and hops backward, then dashes in to score with lead rights draped over the back of the neck and then drop short jabs onto the forehead.

    10-9 Kuzakhmedov, very close

    39-37 Chudecki
