Adamek did a good job on Arreola and showed everyone hes got the stamina to have decent output every round. Jack Reiss was surprisingly good for a ref last night, just watched the fight and I was amazed at how good he was this time around. Props to Jack Reiss man, as for Arreola, he showed a bit of heart but complained/looked to the ref when Tomasz was moving side to side, why the **** did he do that? Outboxed, outhustled and plain outmaneuvered, here's the real deal at 214lbs, he would knock David Haye spark out.
I don't think he'd beat Haye. Adamek's chin is now proven at heavyweight, but if Arreola can get through and wobble him a couple of times then Haye has the ability to knock him out. You can be sure if Haye hurts Adamek he wont let him off the hook Its probably a better fight than Wlad-Haye, but not as meaningful
Honestly I dont think that Adamek won it, I had the fight a draw, fighters who tend to hold hit low and head but, while in pure survival mode should not be awareded or given rounds simply for doing so... Boxing needs to re claim control of the sport by not rewarding that style of "Survival Boxing" they need to bring it back the way it was when I was growing up, where you had to fight to win a fight.
It would be a competative match up. Personally I rate Haye higher than Arreola (although recognize he hasn't been tested at HW) so let's not get carried away. Haye-Adamek would be a great competitive match. Let's have it.
Clearly Adamek did more than survive. He landed more punches, and had Arreola's face a complete mess by round 10. Arreola did a bit of complaining in that fight, which was probably the result of being frustrated.
jesus christ u re here for 5 years already and still cant score a fight? By fighting in survival mode u mean throwin around 700 punches and changing arreola's face into mess? :-( Adamek was actually trading with arreola many many times and ate some monster shots through the fight but landed himself much more so ur embarassing yourself by calling it a survival mode fighting. Oh and btw it wasnt close. 117-111 was correct.
Ummm most of the damage to Arreolas face was from Adamek leaning forward with his ****ing head which he did consistantly from the outset... throwing 700 shots dont mean ****, neither does compu box, compu box is nothing more than two guys with buttons in one hand and mixed drinks in the other....
I agree with a lot of what you say usually Bazooka, but not this time. Adamek was moving around boxing smart and landing crisp combinations to both body and head. Hell, even Arreola turned to the ref as Adamek was moving side to side, as if to complain.. what the **** is he complaining about? That Adamek has more ring generalship than him?! atsch Adamek won buddy, it was clear.. I gave Arreola no more than 3-4 rounds. :-(
Man, Adamek won clearly. It was quite easy fight to score. I dont know why I am responding, because I know that I will not convince you. :huh
POLSKA POLSKA!!! I'm not actually Polish at all, but I'm fast becoming a real fan of Tomasz Adamek, he is one of the best currently active boxers. He showed power, heart and relentlessness vs Steve Cunningham when he became the best cruiser in the world, and now he has shown speed, intelligence and toughness against Cris Arreola at heavy. I'd love to see Tomasz fight Haye or even Wlad next, he'd give them hell.
BS!!! People don't complain about Sugar Ray Leonards "Survival Boxing" tactics. When he does it, its the "Seweet Science", but for Adamek to use that tactic, you say he doesn't deserve to win? Didn't you see the punch stats? Not only did Adamek stay out of trouble most of the night with brillant footwork/movement, but out pointed Arreola, too. Adamek may not be the best with head movement, but he certainly made up for it with his feet. The fight looked like what SErgio Martinez did to Pavlik last week. Adamek fought smart & made Arreola's face a mess. TA didn't have a sdratch on him. Adamek won the fight. Watch it again!:deal
