Lets say for whatever reason the trilogy with Vazquez doesnt happen right away and Marquez goes for De Leion. I think that Marquez would KO Ponce, especially if De Leon comes out swinging like he did agianst Bautista, i see him getting knocked out by a 1-2 combination from Rafa.....opinions?

Im not so shure who would win, Leon seems to be for real and is a great puncher. I think Leon could be the new Lion in this division since Marquez is getting old.

When Rafa weathers the early mindless onslaught, Marquez's all-around skills and power will be too much for de Leon for a tko win on the 9th or 10th.

If Marquez dont work on his defense, he will get knocked out again! Marquez didnt avoid one punch from Vazquez all night. He stood right in front of Vazquez, not moving his head and trading punches recklessly. De Leon can really punch and I think has a very sturdy chin, Marquez has been Ko'd 4 times.

De Leon is far too sloppy to be the king.

What do you call Marquez vs Vazquez ? That was hardly Maywaether Jr vs Sweat Pea or something. That was one wild ass slugfest with no defense. It was an incredible fight. Both were landing huge power punches non stop, untill one finally was wore down.

Wasn't talking about defence, I was talking about sloppy offense. Vasquez and Marquez both have amazingly tight offensive arsenals, where as De Leon is wider, sloppier and lacks their timing.

Maybe so , but I think when De Leon hits Marquez it will a much worse effect then the latter. Ponce De Leon looks like he really has a solid chin. De Leon will have his chance to land ,Marquez's defense is his offense, thats it.

Marquez would cut him down really quick, Penalosa was buzzing him in fact. It's a mismatch.

Marquez may win , but I dont think it is as much a mismatch as it is made out to be. De Leon can really bang, and Marquez is not hard to find, so he has a chance.
