De leon fought a guy who should have not been in the ring with him ,Gamboa knows how to place his punches very well this fight wouldn't go past 4.

Don't complain, freddy-wak was very generous. He even thought of "Ponce KO Gamboa" as the only choice, but he decided to give others a chance.

 

I think Daniel has worked his way back into the discussion of the top guys at 126. He has improved his D a bit and is more patient. In the Lopez fight he went straight for the kill and got caught with a game Lopez. I would love to see him against any of the top 4.

Gamboa is an explosive, and very fast fighter. But he is venerable to get hit.

I just hope Ponce gets an opportunity to get another shot.

Just for the record, Caballero, Juanma and Peñalosa are the only fighters that we know, hardcore fans and he loss to two of them, because you can't count Tejedor, he was way past his prime when he fought PDL, coming off 5 straight loses.

It's not that Gamboa's chin is suspect, Which it is...
But also has alot to do with De Leon's abnormal power @ that weight class.

In a way I love what is happening here, Gamboa has a long list of possibles opponents, that means that ppl want to c him fight, since his debut alots of fans had been predicting his demise, so far he has won all of his fights without a doubt (Juanma vs. Mtagwa should had been stopped, the kid was getting pummeled) PDL (koed by JM and Dec. L to Caballeros) and Caballeros has being Koed and loss some fights. Gamboa could get caught by any fighter, after all that is what they trying to do, and in boxing anything can happen, specially in the upper echelons of game, but until then the only thing you r doing is dream and speculate. Ya vienen llegando, like Willy Chirino said.

Yes we are, but some ppl here don't base their opinions on facts, they don't c the whole pitcure, you can have your opinion and you want your favorite fighter to win, I know I do too, but make some sense, some ppl here just are talking crap with no knowledge at all.

 

hard to say at the moment. Ponce looked good but he's still SLOW! Gam's speed would be a major problem plus the fact that he's got power as well.

Ponce....if he has made adjustments defensively that seemed apparent last night could capitolize on the MAJOR mistakes Gam still shows in his game.

Toss up...I'm leaning towards Gam at the moment simply b/c Ponce looked 5 levels slower than Gam.
